The airsoft replica of Remington’s US Model 24 (M24) for civilian or commercial use boasts of external parts from Hong Kong’s Classic Army (CA) and Japan’s PDI. Initially developed by PDI, the M24 commercial version was later produced in collaboration with CA, who up till now, continues to market the product. The M24 is based on Tokyo Marui’s VSR-10 sniper rifle and comes with a HOP chamber and trigger assembly similar to the APS-2, as well as the piston, spring guide, cylinder head and spring.

Much of the above-mentioned internals were adopted in the earlier versions of the M24, however, some fine-tuning are still required to enhance the performance of the sniper rifle. Common complaints about the first generation M24s were misfeeding and loose magazine catch.

These concerns prompted PDI to further look into the design of the M24, leading them to come out with the present incarnation of the M24 commercial version. Retaining CA’s stock, receiver, outer barrel, muzzle cap, and mount base, PDI enhanced much of the SUS bolt handle and end cap, replacing it with a stainless steel version with a silvery finish. Other improvements include a precision cylinder set VC, enhanced trigger and HOP systems and an 08 inner barrel.

The M24 also features an adjustable stock.

In the pipeline is PDI’s M24x, which will adopt a bore-up cylinder assembly for increased muzzle velocity, necessary for effective sniping at long range engagements.

Unfortunately, all custom parts of the M24 are machine-produced, so it will take a while to re-stock.
