The New Tokyo Marui EVOLT Series

Introduction of the Evolt Series

Tokyo Marui has introduced the Evolt Series of electric airsoft guns, which they position as the successor to their established Next Generation Electric Gun line. The series was launched with the Electric Gun Evolt M4A1 Carbine. This new line places a strong emphasis on realism, with the initial model featuring an aluminum die-cast upper and lower receiver. These components adhere strictly to the dimensions and thickness of the real-world firearm, faithfully replicating the size and frame of the actual M4A1 Carbine.

External Realism and Fidelity

The commitment to external fidelity extends beyond the receiver. Further details, including the reinforced resin A2 grip and buffer tube, are designed to be true-to-size, providing an authentic feel. The dimensions of numerous external parts, such as the handguard, charging handle, and takedown pins, were realistically reproduced based on measurements taken from a non-functional real firearm. Notably, the first model is a shockless variant, meaning it does not incorporate a recoil system like previous Next Generation Electric Guns.

This rifle features a Barrel Change System that allows for a quick conversion between barrel lengths. You can easily switch the standard 14.5-inch barrel to the shorter 11.5-inch configuration using the included barrel extension.

Designed for universal ease of use, the ambidextrous selector is directly linked to the Mech BOX via a single shaft, making it fully operable from either side. This construction guarantees a smooth, consistent rotation and delivers a distinct, solid click that confirms every setting change.

The device replicates operational procedures found in the actual system, including the processes for loading the first round using the charging handle and the bolt-catch function following the bolt opening and a magazine change. Additionally, the adjustable stock features six distinct levels of length adjustment. Designers also paid careful attention to the shape of the non-functional bolt visible through the ejection port.

The Proprietary M System Type 2

Internally, the M4A1 Carbine is equipped with the proprietary M System Type 2, a dedicated micro-controller unit that builds upon the technology of the Next Generation MP5 series. This system is engineered for enhanced performance and safety, as it comprehensively monitors and regulates the FET, motor, and battery. The M System Type 2 is capable of detecting and halting operation upon any abnormality, which protects the internal components from damage.

Innovative Internal Architecture

The series incorporates a newly designed, dedicated gearbox structure, which is split into a gear box and a cylinder assembly. This innovative internal architecture was a necessary design choice to accommodate the real-sized body and, significantly, enables full takedown—a feature previously unavailable in the company's electric gun lineup. To enhance durability and smooth operation, the bevel, spur, and sector gears feature MIM (Metal Injection Molding) construction and utilize an enlarged shaft diameter of four millimeters. The grip houses the newly developed EG1000BR motor.

Additionally, the shaft diameter for the spur and sector gears has been set to 4mm. These design changes collectively contribute to enhanced gear durability, smoother rotational performance, and reduced operational noise.

The cylinder is a small-bore design featuring a smooth fluorine lubrication plating and a minimal capacity design. The chamber, exclusive to EVOLT, incorporates a newly developed "Stabilizer Nozzle" intended to stabilize the nozzle's position, which is stated to improve hit accuracy.

Enhanced Usability and Feeding System

The rifle utilizes an Evolt-exclusive 81-round steel press magazine. This magazine incorporates a One-by-One Loading System, where a shutter closes after each discharge, ensuring that no BBs remain in the inner barrel when the magazine is detached. Furthermore, they are equipped with an Inner Elevation System. This mechanism applies upward tension to the inner magazine, which presses the magazine catch against the feeding port on the main body to reduce the likelihood of feeding malfunctions.

Included with the components are dedicated covers for the upper receiver and the lower receiver. These accessories serve to protect the internal mechanisms when the upper and lower sets are stored or transported in a disassembled state.

Series Expansion and Release Details

The second model in the series, the Electric Gun Evolt RS FPR Mark 4, was also previewed. The RS designation indicates a powerful Recoil Shock system built into the buffer tube, designed to deliver an intense recoil experience. The FPR Mk IV is confirmed to share the same core mechanics and full takedown capability as the M4A1. The M4A1 Carbine is scheduled for release this winter at a price of 90,000 yen (excluding tax), while the FPR Mk IV is anticipated a few months later at 120,000 yen (tax excluded). Power is supplied by a new MS Li-Po 7.4V 800mA stick battery, which is designed to fit specifically within the buffer tube.

 Tokyo Marui MP5K Plus: Compact Power and Enhanced Features

The Tokyo Marui MP5K Plus is the newest and smallest model in the electric gun plus series, now featuring the enhanced PLUS system (FET circuit). This system significantly improves performance by offering a noticeable improvement in semi-auto trigger response and includes crucial safety features. It allows the use of two battery types: the new Ms·Li-Po Battery (Stick Type) and the 8.4V Nickel-Metal Hydride 1300mAh AK Battery.

The PLUS system also acts as an intelligent safety and monitoring unit. It detects and stops operation if it senses abnormalities in the motor or battery voltage, preventing potential damage. Furthermore, it performs a Battery Check, halting use if it detects temperature issues with a genuine LiPo battery or if the battery is left connected after use, ensuring longevity and safety. The build quality is enhanced with a carbon-infused reinforced resin upper receiver for rigidity, and the lower receiver and foregrip use reinforced nylon resin similar to the next-generation MP5 models.

This compact model comes standard with a new 41-round magazine. This magazine features a new follower design that allows players to fire until the very last round. This 41-round spare magazine is also planned for separate sale, offering users an essential upgrade for their MP5 series replicas.

Lycoris Recoil "Takina's Gun"

A gas blowback replica pistol associated with the anime series Lycoris Recoil, specifically modeled after the firearm used by the character Takina Inoue, is now on display. This model is the result of a collaboration with the creators of Lycoris Recoil. It is designed to accurately reproduce the unique aesthetic and functional elements of the in-universe weapon.

The replica features several components that have been meticulously recreated using newly developed molds to match Takina's gun. These unique shapes have been applied to the slide, frame, sights, outer barrel, recoil spring guide, and magazine bumper. This attention to detail ensures the gas blowback model reflects the specific design seen within the Lycoris Recoil animation.

M1851 NAVY Silver Model

Tokyo Marui is introducing the M1851 NAVY Silver Model airsoft revolver, a version of the popular model specifically designed for ages 10 and up. This eye-catching edition features a sleek silver finish achieved with urethane paint on the main parts, complemented by plated screws and an ivory-colored grip treated with clear pearl paint. The silver cylinder will also be available for separate purchase, and the revolver includes a decorative brass percussion cap.

Unfortunately, the official release date and price for both the revolver and the separate silver cylinder are currently undecided. Please keep a close watch for future updates regarding when you can acquire this distinctive silver version of the M1851 NAVY.

Urban Combat Training Material

Additionally, the Urban Combat Training Material based on the new Howa Type 20 rifle will be a special exhibit, having been recently delivered at the end of September for Japan Self-Defense Forces training and this is not available for genera sale, unfortunately.

MS•Li-Po Starter Set and Stick Type Battery

The MS•Li-Po Starter Set (Stick Type) is being introduced, pairing the MS•Li-Po Battery [Stick Type] with the MS•Li-Po Safety Charger. This set will retail for 15,800 yen (excluding tax). Details regarding the specific release date for this package are pending and will be announced subsequently.

The MS•Li-Po Battery [Stick Type] is an expansion of the existing MS•Li-Po Battery product line. Priced at 7,800 yen (excluding tax), this battery variant is compatible with two models of the Electric Gun Evolut series, as well as the Electric Gun Plus model, the MP5K Plus. Its availability will coincide with the release of the Electric Gun Evolut M4A1 Carbine.

G19 Gen5 MOS & Hi-Capa 4.3 D.O.R.

The highly anticipated Gas Blowback G19 Gen5 MOS is now officially on display, allowing enthusiasts to get a first look at this new model. Similarly, the Hi-Capa 4.3 D.O.R Gas Blowback Pistol is also currently available for viewing. While both models are being showcased, key information about their availability remains unconfirmed.

The official release date and final retail price are currently undecided for both the G19 Gen5 MOS and the Hi-Capa 4.3 D.O.R. Interested parties are encouraged to monitor for future announcements. Updates regarding these crucial details will be provided as soon as they are finalized.
