VKTR Industries, a manufacturer of premier AR-15 rifles and accessories, is proud to announce the next evolution of products designed and built in the heartland of America. Whilst the company built its reputation on the modularity of the AR platform, it is now pivoting toward the sidearm market. This move signals a shift from long guns to the increasingly crowded—but always hungry—world of double-stack 1911 handguns also known as 2011s. The debut entry, the VKP Pro aims to bridge the gap between a rugged duty sidearm and a refined competition piece.
The VKP Pro is not a collection of international parts assembled on a whim. It is wholly manufactured and assembled in the United States using US-sourced components. In an industry where "American-made" sometimes comes with an asterisk, VKTR is leaning into its domestic supply chain. This commitment to local manufacturing is intended to ensure tighter quality control, though it also serves as a point of pride for those who prefer their steel to have a local zip code.
“We are extremely excited for this new lineup.” said Dave Rybacki, the owner of VKTR industries and White Label Armory. “The VKP Pro is our flagship model, and we are working to expand the line. End users can be sure that this handgun will be manufactured to the highest standards and tolerances.”

A main feature of this handgun is a 416 stainless steel frame. Unlike the lighter alloy frames found on some carry-focused models, the use of steel provides enough mass to soak up recoil, making the shooting experience a bit less like a workout and more like a mechanical hobby. Using this material suggests that the VKP Pro is built for longevity, designed to survive thousands of rounds without the frame rails deciding they’ve had enough. It’s a heavy-duty approach for those who don’t mind a little extra gravity on their belt.
Moving away from the frame, the controls are fully machined from steel. VKTR has made a point of excluding Metal Injection Molding (MIM) parts from this build. Whilst MIM has its place in modern manufacturing, purists often view it with the same suspicion one might reserve for a "sugar-free" birthday cake. By opting for fully machined components, the VKP Pro offers a tactile, crisp interaction with the safety and slide release that shouldn't degrade after a few seasons of heavy use.

The interface between the shooter and the machine is a reinforced polymer grip. This grip features a custom texture designed to provide a secure hold without being so aggressive that it doubles as a belt sander against your skin. It is a calculated middle ground; it stays put when your hands are sweaty at the range but won’t ruin your favourite shirt during daily carry. It’s a pragmatic solution for a gun that is expected to pull double duty in the holster and the holster-draw stage.
No modern handgun announcement is complete without mentioning the trigger, and VKTR has equipped the VKP Pro with a custom single-piece Combat Match Trigger. It arrives with a pull weight of approximately 3.5 lbs, featuring a clean break and an extreme positive reset This means you won't have to go on a metaphorical scavenger hunt to find the reset point after the first shot. It is tuned for precision yet remains heavy enough to satisfy the safety requirements of most duty or defensive environments.

In a move that will save many buyers a trip to an aftermarket website, the VKP Pro is optics-ready right out of the box. Rather than forcing you to choose a single ecosystem, the gun ships with three distinct footprint plates: Acro, RMR, and DPP. It also comes standard with XS Sight front sights, ensuring that if your electronics fail, you still have a reliable way to point the business end at the target. It’s a "bring your own glass" party where the invitations are already handled.
To keep everything running smoothly, the pistol is finished in a DLC ArmorLube coating. This isn't just for aesthetics; the Diamond-Like Carbon finish is known for its hardness and low friction coefficient. It protects the stainless steel from the elements while helping the slide move as if it were on greased rails. This coating helps maintain the precision tolerances required for a high-performance 1911, ensuring the gun doesn't become a rattly mess after a year of holstering and unholstering.
Initial shipments will be moving to some dealers as of this press release.” said Eric Luley, National Sales Manager. “We have partnered with some amazing retailers throughout the county for the launch.”

The VKP Pro arrives as a complete kit, shipping with four custom Atlas magazines—a respected name in the world of double-stack feeders—alongside the aforementioned optic plates and a carry case. Expect to see these appearing at selected dealers over the coming months. For those looking for a US-built handgun that handles the transition from a defensive role to a weekend match without breaking a sweat, the VKP Pro is making a very loud opening statement.
