Shorty USA is selling this commemorative CO2-powered Colt 1911-A1 Gas Blowback pistol made by KWC for US$109.99... "It has been 100 years since John Moses Browning first introduced his Model 1911 and changed history forever. With power like a brick through a plate glass window, his single action semi auto quickly became famous in both civilian and military circles and it went on to serve through both world wars as the standard issue sidearm for the US military.

This iconic pistol is still made today by over a dozen different gun manufacturers and over two million of these handguns have been produced to date.

In commemoration of the 100 year anniversary of the 1911, KWC has introduced this brand new model which radically departs from the external and internal design of previous KWC 1911 models. This model is replicated after the M1911A1 which saw improvements recommended by the US Army such as the curved spring housing, index finger reliefs behind the trigger and a longer grip safety spur. The entire pistol is constructed of metal and features fully licensed Colt trademarks on its slide so this pistol both looks and feels very realistic.

When it comes to sending rounds downrange the KWC M1911A1 is a real busier capable of hurtling a .2g at over 350 fps for more than 40 yards. This model is powered by a 12 gram CO2 cartridge which is housed in its magazine. The magazine is unlike most other models out there since it is authentically sized to fit flush with the bottom of the grip allowing the pistol to retain its realistic profile. Thanks to the high pressure CO2 this pistol kicks like a mule as it drives back its heavy metal slide. KWC actually fitted the pistol a secondary recoil spring in addition to a rubber shock bumper to help manage the recoil. It is pistols like this that prove gas guns are some of the most entertaining and realistic airsoft models out there.
