Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

In what we have been suspecting all this time is finally firming up. Various sources say that Activision will be releasing “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare” as the latest title in its biggest gaming franchise. This is not to be confused with the first “Modern Warfare” in the series, which was actually titled “Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.”

But “Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare” is the title that practically boosted the franchise to its greatest heights. Many airsoft players actually started playing airsoft influenced with the title, knowing that they can have their fantasy as some soldier in contemporary times playing airsoft and think that either they’re Soap, Roach, or even Captain Price.

Whilst this game carries the “Modern Warfare” title with it, it is said that it’s totally a new game. It will be a totally new story so it cannot be called “Modern Warfare 4” to continue the story where Modern Warfare 3 left off. But for those who are longing for a more relevant story line rather than being fast forwarded into the future or playing in another World War history game, then this should not disappoint them as it will be delving into the aspects of modern day terrorism.

The story has been very much broken out into the open by YouTuber LongSensation in a tweet and he was dead-on on predicting this. It will be on heavy and troubling emotions, which is inspired by the “No Russian” scene in Modern Warfare 2 according to Kotaku.

Infinity Ward is taking lead in the development of the game and some celebrity gamers have already been given a taste of what is being developed. Infinity Ward is the same studio behind the Modern Warfare story line.

So is it really confirmed as “Modern Warfare?” Chances are high and we will be in a for a treat or a surprise for the big reveal that will on the 30th of May. So better cross your fingers and don’t get your hopes high.
