Shot Show Japan 2021 Summer Edition

If there is a trade event for airsoft that has been taking place this year, it must be the 2021 Shot Show Japan. Cancelled in 2020 as the Covid-19 pandemic spreads out around the globe, the organizers, DSI Club, decided to push ahead with the 2021 series and held the Spring edition in March with anti-coronavirus measures in place so it did not turn into a super spreader event.

With the success of the Spring Edition, the organizers announce that the 2021 Shot Show Japan Summer Edition will take place on the 3rd and 4th of July. The Winter Edition is also planned.

Shot Show Japan bills itself as the event in which the “industry-leading manufacturers of military, airsoft, airsoft, shooting, apparel, equipment, patches, eyewear, self-defense, etc., and famous shops nationwide gather in Kansai to lively and intensely sell new products, bargain items, and extremely rare items.” It allows exhibition spot sale with no age limit for admission with junior high school students and below are allowed to enter for free.

A good number of well-known Japanese gear makers and airsoft shops will be exhibiting for the Summer Edition and are the usual mainstays at the Shot Show such as Tamura Tactical Gear Developnent, Sam’s Militaria, Gun Mall Osaka, Volk Tactical Gear, Arms Magazine, Combat Magazine, Airsoft97, Gen Bun Magazine, and more.

The event will take place at 2-9-28 Nishishinsaibashi, Chuo-ku, Osaka City Sunball Underground 1 Floor venue. There is no parking available at the venue so it is encouraged that attendees take public transportation. On both days, the doors will open at 1000H and close at 1700H JST. Advanced ticket purchase is ¥500 while a ticket purchase on the day itself is ¥600.

If you’re from overseas and want to visit this event, you better check first if your country is not in the list of the entry ban imposed by the Japanese government as a measure to curb the coronavirus’ spread.
