With a trend for more compact rifles such as the AR Pistols or SBRs in airsoft, then how about more compact pistols to accompany these? Beretta might have one that you might want made for airsoft as they unveil a new member of their striker-fired APX family of pistols, the APX Carry.

Early this month Beretta has been teasing fans on Facebook “The Worst 30 Seconds of your life”, which paves the way for the introduction of the Carry with the reveal video is that they “hope you'll never have to experience the worst 30 seconds of your life” with Carry as the ideal handgun for protecting your home and family. Beretta says that the Carry “has been designed specifically for military and law enforcement users who have a need for ultra concealment but want similar handling characteristics and ergonomics to their duty pistols.”

As a sub-compact, the Carry falls into the “Concealed Carry” category of handguns as it can be easily hidden and not make the owner inconspicuous. The pistol is the first single-stack in the APX family and it uses smooth DAO-style trigger that breaks at 6.5 Ibs. It is has a thin grip design which makes easier to be handled by those with smaller hands, women especially.

In a press release by the company, the  Carry “features aggressive slide serrations, a textured grip frame, and a flat trigger guard that enable the user to ensure and maintain a firm, secure, and instinctive grip in all situations, making it the perfect concealed carry choice.”

With an MSRP of US$450, the Carry will be shipped with a 6+1 (Flush or with pinky extension) and an 8+1 (Extended) magazine. It is available in four colours: Black, FDE, ODG, and Wolf Grey.

As always, we airsofters will have to wait until an airsoft version gets released, licensed or not.
