Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War

It’s back to the Free World vs the Red Menace as “Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War” and Alex Woods, Frank Mason and Jason Hudson, will be back as the game characters in this upcoming game title that is set to be released on the 13th of November. What’s more? The game also will include historical characters such as Ronald Reagan.

The timeline is longer for this game, which starts with the Vietnam War but most of it will be around 1981, the year when Reagan started his presidency, and of course set the stage for the demise of the Soviet Union with the escalation of the arms race which has said to bankrupted the Soviet economy, though other experts disputed that.

Black Ops Cold War will drop fans into the depths of the Cold War's volatile geopolitical battle of the early 1980s.  Nothing is ever as it seems in a gripping single-player Campaign, where players will come face-to-face with historical figures and hard truths, as they battle around the globe through iconic locales like East Berlin, Vietnam, Turkey, Soviet KGB headquarters, and more.

In the game, the player is set to find the “Perseus” who is said to be a Soviet agent who has infiltrated the U.S. government which was first revealed during the teaser video from Activision before they dropped the full trailer of the game. “Perseus” is said to have been inside the Los Alamos atomic weapons labs during World War 2 and the Manhattan Project that led to the development of the atomic bombs dropped on Japan during the last World War.

For fans of the Zombie mode in “Call of Duty”, they can expect it to be back in “Blackops Cold War”. In multiplayer, it will be cross platform which will enable console and PC players to be able to play on the same maps. Though we don’t know if the playing experience of consoler players will be better as PC players have outplayed them in crossover multiplayer. A full multiplayer reveal will be made on 9 September.

Treyarch also mentioned that "Black Ops Cold War" will also support and build on the hit, free-to-play experience “Warzone”. What is expected can be expected players are features such as shared progression with Warzone and the ability to keep Modern Warfare content, like skins, and weapon blueprints, when players transition their accounts to the new game.

When released, the game will be playable on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
