“Call Of Duty: Vanguard” Takes The Gamer Back To World War II Again

As expected in the teaser trailer, “Call of Duty: Vanguard” is set in World War II. According to Activision, it will feature a “historically inspired” single-player campaign and of course a multiplayer mode along with a multiplayer. Furthermore it will have integration with “Zombies” and “Warzone” which should make gamers look forward to its release come November of this year.
With the single-player campaign again part of the Call of Duty releases, “Vanguard” focuses on the origins of special forces with points of view: Private Lucas Riggs, 20th Battalion, Australian 9th Infantry Division, British Eighth Army, Sergeant Arthur Kingsley of the 9th Parachute Battalion, British Army, Lieutenant Wade Jackson, Scouting Squadron Six, United States Navy, and Lieutenant Polina Petrova of the 138th Rifle Division, Red Army.
According to storyline, these characters were “captured by the Axis powers, each rising from the trenches to become one of the original Operatives; the prototype for the modern special forces soldier as they fight for victory in tide-turning battles across the globe.” Players will be able to play in the four theatres of World War II, from Europe to North Africa, to the Pacific.
Upon release, there will be 20 maps immediately available for players, 16 of these maps are 6v6 and four are 2v2. Also included is a “Champion Hill” Which Multiplayer Creative Director describes as "a mix of battle royale plus gunfight with progression happening between each of the rounds." Sledgehammer is bringing back Gunsmithing and Caliber System for customization of weapons that the developer say will bring immersive and reactive environment to another level.
Treyarch is the studio handling the integration of “Vanguard” to “Zombies” which is already part of the traditional Call of Duty package and will connect to a story from “Black Ops Cold War”. When “Vanguard” comes in with the integration to “Warzone” when a new map rolls out that and together with comes a new PC anti-cheat system.
Call of Duty: Vanguard launch is set on 5 November. It will be playable on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, and PC.
