Don’t Be A Convidiot. Please Don’t Do Any Coronavirus April Fool’s Prank

Gungho Cowboy

No April Fool's Covid-19

It’s official. April Fool’s Day has been cancelled here on Popular Airsoft. Whilst it is a tradition for us to put out an April Fool’s prank here every year, we have decided not to do so this year for reasons that should be obvious to all you, our fine and smart readers.

As we appeal to everyone to help out in the Covid-19 pandemic, we make another appeal, please do not an Coronavirus prank on anyone today or any other day. If you are planning to do one, you better not proceed with it, you will cause panic and alarm, and you might get arrested for it.

There have been incidents on people up to no good, wishing to cause alarm on other people by spitting or coughing at them and say that they have been infected with the coronavirus. Even if you think you do not have the virus, you are not really sure as many infected people are actually asymptomatic, not knowing that they it have until they finally get tested.

The advice is that we assume that we have the virus and keep precautions that we do not affect those around us. This means keeping our distance, washing our hands, not touching our faces when we think our hands are not clean, sneeze/cough on your elbow or tissue which you should throw away to the nearest bin. If you need to be reminded on how the coronavirus is transmitted and prevent it from being spread, here is an infographic from Johns Hopkins Medicine:

Thus, be aware that it is no joke do a coronavirus prank today or whilst the pandemic is raging. A lot of people are already anxious about themselves or their love ones getting the virus, or have known someone who has succumbed to it.

Better think of another prank if you intend to do one for some laughs to release tensions or relieve anxieties, even for a moment. Please don’t make it worse.
