“Call of Duty: Modern Warfare” Tomogunchi

“Call of Duty: Modern Warfare”, the 2019 edition of one of the best selling FPS video games in history first teased about releasing a Tamagotchi-like watch before the game was released. Finally, it has been released and it is a £8 Tomogunchi watch.

The Tomogunchi is like the Tamagotchi of the 1990s which was a worldwide craze though OptimusPrime says that whilst he was fascinated by it when it was first released, he never tried the game out. Cute as it may seem, the Tamagotchi is a demanding device, as you need to feed the digital pet when it is hungry or you have to do something depending on its mood or else it dies. If you have other important things to focus on, having a Tamagotchi will surely test that.

So why would a Tomogunchi watch be released for a first person shooter game? Some games already have companion pets such as Skyrim and Fortnite, but for  “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare”, developer Infinity Ward decided to have a Tomagunchi and still be able to earn from such by selling it for 1000 COD points or about £8.

In a blogpost at ActiVision, here is an excerpt about what the Tomogunchi:

Meet Tomogunchi: your new freshly hatched friend who’s the most fun to be with! Strapped to your wrist and craving almost constant attention, your very own Tomogunchi is ready to become your favorite cyber-pet in any combat zone!

Head to the Modern Warfare® Store today and purchase the Tomogunchi Bundle. Then, during your loadout selection, go to the Weapons tab, locate the Watch Select menu, and equip your new pal: The only way to feed and evolve your virtual pet is to equip it on your wrist, so put it on before you play!

In a moment, once you take to the combat zone, you’ll soon spot your critter struggling to crack open from its initial Egg form.

Over time, your egg explodes, and out of it appears the adorable Baby Tomogunchi! Assuming you can keep it alive over a period of time, the Baby grows into a Child, a Teen, and then into a full Adult. Are there multiple pet forms and options to discover?

We aren’t saying.

Which type of pet will YOU get to take care of?

The Tomogunchi with four moods: hungry, dirty, unruly and sleepy. But unlike the tasks of keeping it happy and satisfied by feeding it with tasty stuff and giving it hugs as done with the Tamagotchi, -- in the version of “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare”, you can keep the digital pet content, full, and happy with kills, objective scoring, killstreaks and wins. As long as you can keep up with a demanding pet, from an egg, it hatches to a child, then as a teen, then it will grow into an adult. But just like with the Tamagotchi, if you are negligent, it will of course die.

So up to becoming a digital parent whilst fragging enemies in the multiplayer modes of “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare” then slap a Tomogunchi watch to your wrist. If you need some tips on how properly care for your Tomogunchi, here is PrestigeIsKey with Tomogunchi Tips, Tricks, & Secrets:
