GBLS DAS GDR 416

Brace yourselves, or more specifically, better hold your wallets tight next year. Bullet Airsoft Guns, the Japanese distributor of GBLS, the South Korean airsoft company that introduced the realistic operating AEG, the DAS GDR-15, did a did a series of tweets that for those who are looking for more variety of realistic operating AEGs, will soon be drained of their cash, cards, and safety deposit boxes, given the premium pricing of the GDR-15.

Let’s start first with the announcement of the DAS GDR 416, which will be their version based on the HK416 rifle and it is a very safe bet for the company given that the HK416 airsoft rifles are always sought after. Bullet announced on Twitter when they were at the SHOT Show Japan 2019 last weekend in Osaka that the “HK416 limited edition announced The same production method as a real gun Forged 7075 machined special specification that incorporates steel bolt carrier etc. It will be sold in limited quantities soon and reservations will start soon!”

Pricing has not yet been determined and details are still sparse such as features and release date. But it’s pretty safety that those who want it should start saving up early on just to own one when it gets released next year if it is on schedule.

The next one, which is already in the news in the past weeks is the DAS AK Series, which is a very welcome thing since we need a realistic operating AK AEG. We need more details still as how the series will operate if they are close to handling of a real Kalashnikov as well as it if provides a satisfying recoil and blowback features. An even better thing is the announcement of DAS AK74M Value Kit allowing airsoft players to reconfigure the DAS AK AEG series to their tastes.

The DAS K2 is mainly aimed at the South Korean market given that it is based on the Daewoo Precision Industries K2 that was developed in cooperation with the South Korean Agency for Defense Development and is the standard service rifle of the Republic of Korea Armed Forces (ROKAF). The latest version is the K2C1 which was introduced in 2015.

More variety and more realistic operating AEGs from GBLS to look forward to come 2020 and that will surely be a good thing. Even better if they are able to reduce their production costs and make them more affordable for airsoft players who can’t afford the GDR-15.
