Geissele Super Duty MOD1 SBR

Geissele Automatics, a leading name in firearms manufacturing, has unveiled the Super Duty MOD1 SBR, an upgrade to their popular Super Duty platform. This Short-Barrelled Rifle (SBR) boasts several improvements designed to enhance user experience, performance, and accuracy.

In airsoft, Geissele is known for the URG-I or the Upper Receiver Group, Improved, that is seen in some airsoft guns such as the Tokyo Marui URG-I Sopmod Block 3 NGRS or MWS Gas Blowback Rifles.

The user experience takes centre stage with the addition of a new A17 Grip. This ergonomically designed grip provides a more comfortable hold during operation. The MK16 Super Modular Rail also receives an upgrade, featuring press-fit stainless steel Quick Disconnect (QD) inserts for easier attachment of accessories.

The Super Duty MOD1 SBR comes chambered in 5.56mm and features user-selectable barrel lengths of 10.3 inches or 11.5 inches. The barrel itself exemplifies Geissele's commitment to quality. It's constructed using a Manganese Phosphate coating, a Cold Hammer Forging process, and Chrome Lining for exceptional durability. A nanoweapon-coated HUXWRX Flash Hider-QD muzzle device is also included, offering compatibility with suppressors.

Reliability is a top priority for any firearm, and the Super Duty MOD1 SBR is no exception. The Geissele length gas system and Super Compact Gas Block work together to ensure smooth operation even under demanding conditions.

At the heart of the SBR lies the Geissele Reliability Enhanced Bolt Carrier Group (BCG). This Nanocoated carrier features a Chrome Lined gas key and utilizes H13 tool steel for the Cam Pin, maximizing resistance to corrosion and wear. The BCG also features extended upper rails for improved feeding reliability.

The Super Duty MOD1 SBR comes equipped with the Geissele Stressproof Bolt, a specially formulated component developed in collaboration with Carpenter Steel metallurgists. This bolt boasts superior strength and fatigue resistance, exceeding the lifespan of a standard mil-spec bolt by a factor of five.

The lower receiver of the Super Duty MOD1 SBR is precision machined from high-grade 7075-T6 aluminium. It houses Geissele's Ultra Duty Lower Parts Kit, featuring an ambidextrous safety and an Ultra Precision trigger guard for improved control.

Pricing for these real steel rifles range from US$1,995 for the Black edition to the US$2,325 for the ODG, Luna Black and DDC editions. When purchased, these are not shipped with a magazine.
