Back story:
On November 12th 2016 the whole of the UK went dark after a huge cyber attack whipped out the national grid, communications and rendered the UK military deaf and blind. For two weeks an unconventional war of has raged through the urban cities an rural towns. A huge force of UK and international veterans has made up a backbone to an effective resistance effort. Armed originally with small arms or civilian legal weapons, the resistance has now been resupplied with more current weapons and equipment. The UK military has had a chance to re-organize itself and is now trying to re-establish control of a few major roads and nearby cities.
However, the Russian commitment is astonishing and although it looked like the UK was their only target, Communist movements have now seized power in a number of ex soviet countries and escalation is starting to be felt in Europe. The US are still uncommitted at this time using possible concerns about China as a reason to hold back their forces and aid.
The story continues on from the last event, the British communication system was wiped out by a tactical EMP that the Russian force planted and successfully detonated, leaving the British troops cut off and unable to radio for reinforcements.
Next we move on to pt 6 “rise of the resistance” the British have been decimated on all fronts around the coast and we find ourselves in eversley.
British forces
A large homeland force has massed in eversley thanks to its easy access to two main motorways leading to London, with the primary orders of not allowing the Russian armoured division taking over the capital.
The resistance force have drafted in help from RAF Odiham home of chinooks so supply drops and quick response forces can be masses quickly and effectively along with the help of Salisbury camp which homes RTR and many mechanised divisions of the military.
Due to there being a high population area a lot of ex service soldiers, police force and civilians have come forward to assist the war effort these will be a key factor in halting the Russians advance and are know locally as “the militia”
Main factors for the British will be interrupting supply routes, destroying any weapons or supply caches, establishing comms with other local groups and gaining and feeding back any intel found that can help the war effort.
Russian force
The success of tuddenham has sounded through mother Russia and your generals are proud.
As you hit land on the south side of England your main objective is to make your way to London but before you get there a large military force needs to hit head on to cut off air supply’s assisting mainland British forces.
When you hit land you were met with little resistance and because of this you advanced to quickly over unguarded territories meaning fuel and ammo are at a minimum as your backup supplies haven’t hit England yet.
Your first priorities are to gain supplies from local areas and find points of weakness in the resistance force, the army are not the biggest worry “the militia” have a new leader and this team of rebels are breaking Russian morale as they don’t adhere to the same rules of engagement as the British troops with stories of Russian forces being taken and tortured this new force needs to be dealt with head on.
Intel is going to be key you can only eradicate a threat if you know who your dealing with and how many there are.
So good luck comrades.
Russian troops will operate from FOB’s in the field and will have a Cp just back from there front lines, any Russian kit is allowed ( atacs fg counts as Russian). Any eastern block countries (Lithuania, Ukraine, Kazakhstan)that would have an affiliation to Russia can join if kit rules are adhered to strictly.
UK troops will operate from a fixed HQ and have a number of CPs in the field.
Blue force is made up of 2 UK troops MTP or MULTICAM.
NATO military forces are allowed but will be expecting to see a full load out so for example French current kit you will be expected to have a famas or current German kit a g36 or hk416.
Militia forces will be made up of DPM as you are ex service personnel, police lodouts are encouraged, civilian clothing is allowed (best way to think of this is if you can buy it from a surplus store you can wear it) but under no circumstances are you allowed to wear any Russian kit and rifles must be all NATO weapons no AK’s and no exceptions.
