Hera Arms Unveils The Bolt Action H6 Rifle With Sten-Style Magazine Feeding Operation

Hera Arms, which probably pop-up in the radar screens of airsoft players with the Hera Arms CQR AEG made by ICS Airsoft for ASG, is a relatively young company which has a different approach to firearms design that take in STANAG magazines.
With the announcement of the H6 Bolt Action Rifle, Hera Arms just branched into bolt action firearms. What makes the H6 rifle distinct from other bolt action rifles is its side mounted magazine which many will remind of the Sten gun that was first introduced in World War II.
The H6 was developed by VOERE Präzisionstechnik which specializes in hunting and precision rifles. The Austrian company developed the lightweight VOERE S16 which is bolt action rifle that sports a side mounted magazine and probably this influenced the design of the of the Hera H6 and accepts AR-15 magazines.
The Hera H6 is a sporting rifle that can fire either the .223 REM or 300 BLK rounds. It has an M-Lok handguard keeping it in line with today’s rifle designs for mounting accessories and equipping it with a bipod for a stable shooting platform. Hera Arms also made it compatible with all fore-ends of the AR15 series that it produces. Speaking of mounting accessories, it has a Picatinny rail for mounting optics and the HERA LINK system so it can be equipped with suppressors made by other companies. It also has an A2 compensator
At the stock area, the polymer cheek piece adjustable for the shooter’s comfort and the stock is foldable when a optional stock adapter is added. An additional spacer piece for adjusting the length of the buttstock is supplied and the shooter can adjust the shoulder rest. When purchased, it comes with a 10 round H6 magazine .223 REM. As for the retail price, it’s set at €1,429.00 with colour options of black, sand and olive green.
