Heavy Recoil Club & G&G IWA 2024

If the initial posts that we made of video reports from the IWA Outdoor Classics 2024 was not enough, here are more that are 100% focused on the airsoft industry, The ever-reliable Airsoft.nu got a lot of videos uploaded and of course from the gas blowback fans such as BB2K Airsoft and Heavy Recoil Club.

So, let us get on to the videos since that is what you after when you clicked on the link, and we start with Heavy Recoil Club of the Netherlands where they cover the G&G Armament LevAR15. This is a unique underlever gas airsoft rifle that uses AEG magazines and hop-up components. It boasts easy HPA conversion and impressive performance (reportedly 400 FPS), but pricing and release date are still up in the air (expected late 2024).

They also visit Vorsk to look at the new VMP-2 GBB. This builds on their VMP line, taking inspiration from the KCO2. It feeds from existing VMP magazines and uses common GBB/Milspec parts for easy customization, featuring a TDC hop-up for on-the-fly adjustments and a VSR-compatible hop rubber. Expect a retail price between 300 and 400 Euros depending on the model.

They also visited VFC where a PPSH41 GBB is on display and is expected in December 2024. This 1:1 scale replica boasts real wood and steel externals, weighs and functions just like the real firearm, and even accepts some external parts (if you can find them). It holds around 180 rounds and uses either HPA or green gas magazines.

They know that at IWA 2024, ASG and Rogueworx4567 unveiled the H22, a midlife upgrade to the KCO2 platform. The H22 boasts improved internals, a genuine Hera Arms stock, and affordability, making it a feature-packed option in the compact GBB market, especially with its TDC hop unit.

Our good friend from Germany, Bruce of BB2K Airsoft is much into gas blowback nowadays so he put more attention at the VFC booth where also looked at the PPsH41 GBB and the upcoming AK74M, FN FNC, FN LAR MK1 and the much-anticipated Stetschkin pistol that was first revealed at IWA 2023.

Now, for the next ones, better brace yourselves as the prolific Airsoft.nu got more interesting videos such as they visited more booths.

At the Silverback Airsoft booth are a wave of new airsoft guns for 2024, including the MDRX V3 micron (co-developed with T238), multiple TAC 41 variants in both polymer and aluminum (already released), and a prototype VSSK that will not be available this year.

As for their visit to the Vorsk booth, the star of the show was the upcoming VMP-2 series, a gas-powered (GBB) modular platform set for release later in 2024. This follows the successful launch of the VMP-1 series, which was unveiled at IWA 2023. In the video, we meet Matt, Vorsk's marketing manager, who discusses both the VMP-2 and their latest airsoft pistol models.
