You’ve watched John Wick 3, already bought those officially licensed Taran Tactical John Wick Combat Master pistols, converted your Marui M4 MWS GBB with the Angry Gun kit for John Wick TTI Rifle. You might even be sporting a beard, longer hair, and always in suit. If you have not had enough of getting John Wick stuff, then here is the latest for you to purchase next month, the John Wick Hex video game will be released on October 8.

First reported in May, just right before the release of John Wick 3, John Wick Hex was announced to be in the works by Lionsgate and Good Shepherd Entertainment. The video game is an action based strategy game and being developed by Mike Bithell, who is also behind “Volume”, “Thomas Was Alone”, and “Subsurface Circular,” in cooperation with the creative and stunt teams behind the films.

The player will be able to do some gun fu in the game just like in the movies. But before doing that, he/she will have to plan carefully as each move comes at a cost. Ammo is limited and so the player will have to be selective as well as decide when to reload. There will be weapons that can scavenged from the unlucky opponents but it is also a decision making matter which weapon to take or what item to use in a fight. Each foe will have to be appraised carefully and quickly to determine the best course of action to defeat him (or her).

It will take some getting used to for those who have been expecting a first person or third person shooter as this is a different approach to developing a video game based on a movie franchise where there are lots of shooting and blood fight scenes. It will be a lot of thinking and be creative how you will make the John Wick character get through opponents.

Ian McShane and Lance Reddick reprise their roles as Winston the hotel manager and Charon as the concierge of the Continental Hotel.

As for the villain, it will be a character not seen in the movie and it will be played by Troy Baker, plays an original villain for the game and has been a voice actor for Persona 4, Bioshock, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, and Far Cry 4 among others. 

It was not revealed if Keanu Reeves will be lending his voice to the game and he is actually involved in another video game project, Cyberpunk 2077.

John Wick Hex will cost US$19.99 and it will be available at the Epic Games store. It will be first available for Windows PC and Apple Mac. Versions for consoles will be released next year.
