It can be used with the Android Tactical Assault Kit (ATAK) that uses Augmented Reality (AR) which overlays information for the soldier to act one without letting his/her eyes off the battlefield. Another capability of the ENVG-B is operability with the Family of Weapons Sights-Individual (FWS-I) allowing the soldier to see through the weapon sight without actually exposing much, only the weapon gets pointed up front with the soldier hiding behind an obstacle and using the information overlayed on the ENVG-B as transmitted by the weapon sight. Apart from getting information and identifying targets, the soldier can also shoot at targets whilst not being exposed, increasing survivability during a firefight.
