The next big trade event that we get to see products from Tokyo Marui will take place next week. The doors to the 59th All Japan Model Hobby Show on the 28th to the 29th of September 201 and is hosted by the Japan Plastic Model Industrial Cooperative Association, the trade event showcases products from some of the big names in the hobby industry such as Bandai, TomyTech, and Tamiya.
But of course, airsoft players around the world are only interested in this because of Tokyo Marui and what the company will unveil at the show. At the company’s event page, they tease about three new products which of course is another guessing game round for all of us who follow what the company does.
Looking at the teaser, it looks like two of those are already known whilst the last one, it’s another .45 1911 pistol. So let’s get on with these quickly.
This one was first on display at the 58th Shizuoka Hobby Show and this is the Sword Art Online Alternative Gun Gale Online “Vorpal Bunny” sidearm for Llen. For female cosplayers or airsofters going for a complete look of LLen, this a must have and should go together with Llen’s Limited Edition Pink P90 AEG that Tokyo Marui has already released ahead.
Next is what we want released yesterday.
This one is what many will be looking forward and hoping that it will be soon be released later this year. First revealed at the 5th Tokyo Marui Festival last year, the Tokyo Marui MK46 Mod 0 Recoil Shock AEG is the first airsoft support weapon the company will be releasing. For visitors of the Hobby Show next week, they will finally get to test this such as its recoil shock and the simulated belt feed of the dummy cartridges.
Another 1911?
The last one is another .45 1911 pistol given its front serration. Tokyo Marui is heavy on the 1911 production and we cannot find our photo archives of previous trade events showing upcoming products of the company. It can be a black version of the Tokyo Marui M45A1 CQB GBB Pistol which was released in February 2018 but we hope we are wrong on this and it's another 1911 pistol that airsoft skirmishers and action air shooters would want.
If you are going to the 59th All Japan Hobby Show, it will be held at the Tokyo Big Sight in the Ariake Minami district of Tokyo Waterfront City. The doors will open for trade visitors on Friday, the 27th and the public can enter on the 28th (Saturday) and 29th (Sunday).
As always, we’ll post photos and new information that we can get from the event.
