The Krytac owners’ community in Japan continues to grow as Laylax continues the promotion of the company’s products in the country. This effort culminates in the Krytac Owners’ Meeting which takes place in November of each year. With the recently concluded Krytac Owners’ Meeting Volume 4, they even showed that they know how to party.
The event took place last 9 November 2019 at the Tokyo Sabage (Survival Game) Park in Inzai City, Chiba Prefecture. For this year the theme is 'Link', which was selected after many submissions from fans. This means the connections made and bonds forged amongst Krytac owners and spreading the Krytac fun around the world according to Masaki Koshida, International Operation Director for Laylax.
Laylax boss, Koji Nomura, opened the event with a grand entrance, wearing what looks like a mech suit or you can also call it to be an exoskeleton. He only wore the upper portion of the suit and it is a working one as demonstrated by the company that owns this as shown in this Twitter video taken by Yas of Hyperdouraku.
Since this is Japan, we weren’t surprised if we see such a contraption in an airsoft event given their fascination with robotics. But it would be nice to see them demonstrate using airsoft guns in an event.
Some special guests were introduced such as Allen Lau of Krytak; Evike Chang, George, and Matt of Evike.com; Scott Allan of Land Warrior Airsoft; Marck of RedWolf Airsoft; Jonathan of Airsoftology; and famous Japanese airsoft YouTubers.
As for the participants, the event is capped at 250 guests, which is maximum that can be comfortably accommodated at the game park. But that is more than enough as they got divided into four teams with different settings in rules. They also had a 3-Gun shoot ala “John Wick” as well as custom Krytac airsoft gun can contest and the Japanese can go crazy with their custom ideas, including the Krytac KRISS Vector at different lengths that a tape measure will run out before it gets to fully measure the handguards.
Also seen at the event is the Gun Arena, developed by Natsume Atari and Taito which is basically a shooting arcade in airsoft guns are used to shoot at digital targets. It is now seen at bars and gaming arenas in Japan and slowly being promoted overseas for use at gaming arcades.
The Polaris shooting contest in which a pair of airsoft players go around the course twice shooting at targets whilst in a moving Polaris ATV. A special guest team with Marck of RedWolf as the shooter and Scott of Land Warrior as the driver, they took the unofficial top spot of 55 seconds.
There was food available for the participants and lots of raffle prizes to be won, ensuring that even if not everyone went home with a prize, at least they went home with happy tummies. Overall, it was a fun event that fans of Krytac must not miss, even it is held in the land of the rising sun. They must and they should book their slots come Volume 5 next year.
