The Shizuoka Hobby Show is one of trade exhibits that Tokyo Marui attends in a big fashion. But due to Covid-19 pandemic, they decided to sit the 59th edition out. It may be disappointing as we expect them to reveal new products at this event. But with the Marufes Online series hosted by Deca and Irodori Mayoi as the Marudeca Public Relations crew, have not missed anything if you followed the recent Marufes Online episodes.
But if you want a feel of the Tokyo Marui at the 59th Shizuoka Hobby Show, the company actually created a virtual representation of their booth if they attended the show. Watching Irodori Mayoi tour us around the virtual booth, including a duplicate of Deca, the products on display are about what have been recently released or announced by Tokyo Marui.
Let’s start first with the recent releases, which are the URG-I SOPMOD Block 3 NGRS. If you have been waiting for this to be available better ask your nearest airsoft retailer as it is available now at most reputable airsoft retailers around the world. But you better hurry as sometimes stocks get snapped up quickly. The next is the LCP, the first of compact fixed slide gas pistol series, which was also released.
For those who are waiting for the release of the Tokyo Marui AKM Gas Blowback Rifle, they may have to wait for a bit longer for more information on its release. Many are actually expecting this rifle to be released this summer as gas blowbacks perform best in warmer temperatures. Well, we hope it makes in time for the summer season.
They announce that its price is 59,800JPY (around 550USD), tax excluded.
One that will be released next week is the second in the compact fixed slide gas pistol series, the Bodyguard 380 and it is scheduled to be in the shelves of Japanese airsoft shops on the 27th of May and with rest of the world to follow.
Back at the studio, Deca talks more about the upcoming model in the NGRS series, the Tokyo Marui MP5A5 M-System NGRS. In the Marufes Online Part 4, Deca was not able to show you how to remove the handguard which houses the battery. The MP5A5 will work with Nickel-Metal Hydride (NiMH) Mini S batteries.
One revelation is that the company will be also producing its own line of Lipo batteries and that the MP5A5 NGRS will be compatible with it. We don’t know what sizes the Lipo batteries will be, but we wish that they make one for the HK416D and SOPMOD NGRS stock battery compartments rather than their proprietary battery made for these stocks. According to Deka, they have adopted 3-point connector for safety purposes.
Another line that they already announced are the concealment holsters for the compact fixed slide gas pistols.
