MOA 2019 Day 1

The MOA Exhibition organised by QRF Magazine, which can be considered to be the biggest airsoft trade fair in the world, keeps on growing this year with more exhibitors from different countries in  having their presence and international visitors looking for airsoft products and tactical gear to purchase and sell in their countries.

Arriving at the Taipei World Trade Center at half past 1000H, the exhibition area was already getting to start busier as the visitors come in. The Modify booth was already busy as visitors try their hands on their airsoft guns at their mini-shooting booth. But I was curious on the progress of the Modify PP-2000 SMG GBB and they were happy to inform that they are preparing to release it late first quarter of 2020. I was able to speak to Jane Liu of Modify and she revealed to me that they are going to release another line of AEGs which I will learn more on the second day.

Speaking shooting boots, there are more this year with Modify, Rare Arms, GBL, VFC, Poseidon, and ICS Airsoft have their setup. The South Korean company, Gunpower, were there with their mini digital shooting booth as well. If you are following our Facebook Page, you will see these booths in our livestream videos posted yesterday.

I dropped by the booth of KAM-TACT (Kuni Applied Materials Co. Ltd) as I am fond of their Eye Shields eye protection which can match the best brands of eyewear. These are already certified to meet impact standards and the quality of lenses is superb. I have a complete set of theirs and highly recommend to our readers to check it out if it meets their requirements. They are now making an effort of their K10-QCH or the KAM-TACT Quick Charging Handle which is an attachment designed for faster charging of AR rifles. Using Kelite technology it is very easy to operate and will fit most ARs. They are now being promoted in the USA and if you will be at the SHOT Show in January 2020 make a note to drop by their booth and check their products. Watch below their videos about the K10 so you can get to appreciate what this product does.

BOLT Airsoft was up next for me with Darrel presenting their new electronic trigger system for their BRSS tech or their Blowback & Recoil Shock System. The system is programmable and for the next production of the BOLT AK, MP5, and AR Series, they will be integrated. They are now got license from Daniel Defense and Knights Armament so they include markings on their KAC-style AEGs such as the KAC SR-47.

I needed to rush to Taipei 101 food court to grab a quick lunch and by 1400H I was in time for appointment with Specna Arms. Many of you by now know that they are integrating the Gate Electronics Aster MOSFET into their EDGE Series. A video will be posted soon so you can learn more about the series and other Specna Arms AEG lines. At their booth you can also find RA-Tech and Airsoft Taiwan as they have joined together to have a common display area. More of these two tomorrow.

Next for me to visit was ICS where Tim talked about their upcoming Lightway AEG series which will use the industrial polymer making the AEG lightweight whilst still being durable. This will give the Sportline series of their competitors a run for their money when this gets released. For ICS CXP fans, they have released their 9mm-style AR CXP AEG, the ICS CXP MARS PDW9.  They will be releasing a new MP5 AEG, explained the features of the upcoming AKR AEG which does not come with an electric blowback feature and showed the internals of their latest licensed airsoft GBB pistol, the SAR-9 from the Turkish firearms manufacturer Sarsılmaz.

For the rest of the day, I walked around doing some livestream of the whole venue, visiting the booths where our followers on Facebook can check out and ask questions about the products they see during the livestream. By 1700H, I called it a day as I need to start working on the photos I have put together and write this report before I get to go out again and meet with Stu Mortimer of TacticalTwo and Airsoft Action Magazine for dinner, tasting the local craft beer that Taipei has to offer.
