Arcturus Line of Airsoft Gas Blowback Pistols

MOS Manufacture (Arcturus) took a few minutes to showcase their upcoming line of gas blowback airsoft pistols. The initial highlight was the Osprey, a 5-inch High-Capa designed for competitive, speed-style shooting. This pistol sports a split slide and a fixed barrel secured to the chassis, which apparently keeps things steady, because nobody likes a wobbly barrel during a high-stakes match of 'capture the flag.' A handy toolless, quick-adjustable hop-up dial is located on the top, allowing for on-the-fly tuning, so you can tweak your BB trajectory without even having to cycle the slide—a real time-saver for those milliseconds that matter in intense backyard skirmishes.

For those who want to take their plinking a bit further, the Osprey offers a performance version that includes a CNC blowback unit to reduce reciprocating mass, making the cycling action snappier. This model also comes with an adjustable gas cut-off, letting the user fine-tune the recoil from a gentle nudge to a firm, satisfying thud, all by swapping out a few inserts. Following the Osprey, the video introduces the Tempest series, a compensated 4-inch High-Capa. This pistol features a fixed compensator that aims to lock down the outer barrel for a more accurate shooting experience. They've also given it a new silver-colored outer barrel for a bit of visual flair—because even tactical gear can appreciate a little sparkle.

Finally, the discussion turns to the brand's expansive approach to optics. Both the new Tempest and the previously released Vanguard series benefit from an updated mounting system and new suppressor high sights. The mounting plate is quite versatile, accepting a buffet of optics footprints, including RMR, RSMC, Doctor sight, and even Acro style using a separate adapter piece. In short, Arcturus seems dedicated to ensuring that if you have an airsoft pistol, they have a way for you to attach just about any red dot sight you could possibly own. These high-performance toys are expected to retail in the low $200s, proving that preparing for the great airsoft apocalypse doesn't have to completely break the bank.

Classic Army Reveals MWS-Type Gas Blowback Rifle

This video provides a brief but focused look at the Classic Army booth during the MOA Expo, where the company's representative, William Young, unveiled their upcoming Gas Blowback (GBB) rifle. The presentation was quick and to the point, sharing the exciting news that this new airsoft replica is slated for a January release. It's a quintessential expo showing, featuring a confident introduction of a new product that will soon have players reaching for their wallets and rearranging their gear bags.

For the technically inclined, this new rifle is built around the popular MWS system. Mr. Young notably mentioned that the system is "about 99% same" as the Tokyo Marui version, which is a wonderful statistic that likely means compatibility is high, though it leaves one wondering what mystery exists in that remaining one percent. Functionality is a highlight, with the rifle featuring a completely ambidextrous mode selector, ensuring that operators who don't favor their right hand can also enjoy effortlessly switching between firing modes without having to twist their wrist into a painful pretzel shape.

As for construction, the rifle uses a combination of materials for durability and weight management. A couple of key parts were highlighted as being made of aluminum, providing a solid feel where it counts, while the rest of the body is composed of "plastic nylon." This balance of materials means the new GBB is likely substantial enough to feel realistic but won't require a player to start an intense weightlifting regimen before carrying it all day on the field. The presentation concludes with a quick thank you and a directive to check the Classic Army website for detailed parts information—the ultimate call to action for any truly dedicated gear enthusiast.

Modify MWS Parts & Upcoming Airsoft Gas Blowback Pistols

Thomas from Modify was on hand to showcase a range of new airsoft gear for dedicated enthusiasts. It seems they've been busy giving the MWS a serious internal makeover, presenting a lineup of upgrade parts like a new trigger unit, steel internals for the cylinder, an aluminum magazine, a nozzle, and a CNC aluminum hop-up chamber. For those who prefer a sidearm, the new Tyrant 2011 pistol made its debut. It arrived in three distinct sizes—the compact one for those who appreciate subtlety, a standard 5.1-inch version, and the slightly longer "Primex," for when you need a little extra presence. The pistol keeps things light, utilizing aluminum for the slide, compensator, and the frame itself, though they made sure to include steel for the critical fire control unit parts like the hammer and trigger, ensuring the internals mean business.

The Tyrant 2011 sports a few clever features to help players on the field, perhaps distracting opponents with engineering brilliance. One neat addition is the RMR mount, which uses a slide design. This means that to remove it, you simply pull out a pin and set screw, allowing you to bypass the annoying ritual of repeatedly tightening screws that usually comes with such attachments—a definite win for maintenance efficiency. They also paid attention to stability, ensuring the outer barrel is nicely circled inside the compensator to reduce any distracting wobble and keep things steady. Whether you choose the short, medium, or somewhat long Tyrant, they all run on a mix of CO2 and regular gas. And for the player who likes to turn the dial up a bit, the Trinity X was introduced, offering a full-auto mode alongside the standard semi-auto, easily accessible via a selector lever.

Angry Gun's Licensed Airsoft Gas Blowbacks, Red Dot Sight and Muzzle Devices

Angry Gun's presentation at the MOA Expo 2025 kicks off with their new lineup of EMG-licensed airsoft gas blowback rifles, the SR-15 (semi-auto) and SR-16 (full-auto). The presenter notes that these models are famous because they are used by the US Secret Service, so you can roleplay as a highly trained agent without needing to change out of your tactical pajamas. A key selling point for these models is their ambidextrous functionality, including the bolt release, magazine release, and charging handle, which is perfect for players who need to operate their rifle from any angle, or perhaps just can't remember if they are left-handed or right-handed. They also show off the KAC-V MWS conversion kit, which is available in both a flat dark earth (FDE) and a rather stylish burnt finish.

To go with the rifles, Angry Gun is reproducing the discontinued Vortex UH-1 AMG 2000 red dot sight, claiming it focuses on both appearance and "ferality"—so it is probably quite sturdy. The sight offers players the advanced option of either manually adjusting the red dot's brightness or switching to an automatic mode that senses environmental lighting, sparing the user the strenuous task of pushing a button. For added flair, they are expanding their licensed MWS magazines to include new colors like "safety green" and a truly unforgettable "transparent purple." Finally, they highlight their carbon fiber suppressor seals and a durable aluminum receiver set, ensuring that airsoft players chasing high performance get a rig that is also extremely durable and cost-effective for a rough day on the field.

Licensed Strike Industries KP9 and Evo From Hwasan

This clip from the MOA Expo features Derek from Hwasan Toys showcasing their licensed lineup of airsoft replicas, guaranteed to make any enthusiast excited for future skirmishes. He highlights the SSP19 and the coveted KP9 GBB, which is produced under license from EMG. The KP9, in particular, boasts grips and stocks by licensed Strike Industries suggesting a level of component dedication that should satisfy even the most demanding tactical gear collector. Hwasan is also teasing an EVO PCC, also under an EMG license, ensuring these plastic-flinging instruments of fun are fully authorized and ready for action.

For those planning their airsoft budget, the KP9 GBB is anticipated to be released in Q2 of "next year"—a timeframe that leaves a fun amount of flexibility—while the EVO PCC is scheduled for a more distant release somewhere in late 2026. Derek confirms that the KP9 is designed to handle both CO2 and green gas magazines, giving players options whether they prefer their airsoft gun to run on CO2 or regular gas. He also casually mentions an MWS system, a detail that must be significant, though his delivery makes it sound like a secret code only known to the airsoft elite.

Maple Leaf CAS & Universal Muzzle Adapter

James from Maple Leaf took the floor at MOA 2025 to finally unveil the Compact Adjustable Stock (CAS), a little PDW stock system that had been in development for quite some time. After what must have felt like an eternity to eager enthusiasts, the CAS is now operational for GHK and the Tokyo Marui platform. The long development cycle wasn't just for suspense; it was all down to an engineering challenge: cramming a standard-sized bolt carrier into a buffer tube that is roughly half the length. This required the creation of a proprietary internal system, complete with a specialized recoil spring and a plunger-style buffer, all to ensure the gun’s performance didn't suffer. Maple Leaf wanted to prove you can downsize the rear end without sacrificing a quick cycle rate.

The second product demonstrated was the Universal Muzzle Adapter system, a specialized device with a standard 14mm thread that serves as a quick-detach hub for various front-end accessories. Since the presenter openly admitted that airsoft suppressors are mostly just "decorative" due to the low noise output of the guns, the system is designed to embrace newer utilities. For instance, you can quickly attach a muzzle accessory that cleverly combines a tracer unit and a chronograph device. This means if you suddenly feel the urge to measure your muzzle velocity right in the middle of a skirmish, you can do so by simply clipping on the required device and then removing it just as fast when you're done crunching the numbers.

Finally, the most unique accessory shown was an "eerily shaped" muzzle device that clips onto the adapter—a BB-triggered grenade launcher. This attachment allows the user to fire a grenade simulator using the pistol's own BB mechanism, which is certainly a creative way to diversify your arsenal. The presenter showcased how every component, from the stock to the grenade launcher, can be rapidly attached or removed, ensuring the gun can be instantly switched between a standard BB shooter and a full-utility powerhouse. The entire modular system, including the stock and the adapter interface, is available for purchase now.

VFC AVS74U Airsoft Gas Blowback

;

This video is an introduction to the new VFC AVS74U Gas Blowback rifle, presented by a Ryan at the 2025 MOA Show. The airsoft rifle is built with a full steel body, matching the construction of their previous AK74M model. The presentation details how the flash hider, handguard, receiver cover, and pistol grip are all made to match the standard furniture of the real firearm, which is handy for those who have a stash of real Russian-made wood or maybe just a surprisingly large collection of Magpul accessories they're eager to try out.

Internally, VFC has added a few clever mechanisms to enhance the shooting experience. A notable feature is the adjustable recoil system: an included buffer reduces the bolt's travel, giving a faster rate of fire, but if you remove the buffer, you can slow it down to a more realistic 750 rounds per minute—perfect for those who want to feel like they are shooting a slightly less-fun real one. The rifle also includes a user-friendly TDC hop-up system, which you can adjust easily with a finger after pulling the bolt back, ensuring your BBs fly exactly where you don't intend them to go.

The rifle utilizes a one-piece steel bolt and has full steel components for the hammer and trigger. For easy maintenance, the inner barrel and bucking are based on the common Tokyo Marui VSR-10 standard, making parts swapping a breeze for any tinkerer. The presenter also highlights VFC's wide range of loyal CNC accessories for modernizing the AK, including an adapter that allows for quick and easy fire selector adjustments, saving you the awkward moment of needing to remove your hand from the grip just to switch to 'safe' after a particularly spirited firefight.
