We do need a new airsoft shotgun based on another design. Whilst Remington M870 series has been dominant design in airsoft, Mossberg got some designs that can give the M870 a run for is money. With the release of 940 Pro Tactical Autoloader Shotgun, the newest member in is 940 series.

Based on Mossberg’s cleaner-running and redesigned gas-operating system, the 940 Pro Tactical Shotgun follows another recent release from Mossberg, the 940 Pro Turkey Autoloader. Just like the other member of series, this is a 12-gauge and what we welcome is it is optic-ready.

Since it is designed for tactical applications, it has receiver cuts that accept low-profile direct mounting of Shield RMSc-pattern micro dot sights for improved eye alignment and target acquisition. A cover is included in the package in case an optic is not mounted.

For easier operation, it has enlarged/beveled loading port, elongated elevator, and anodized follower. Other features are M-LOK compatibility, adjustable stock; and an 18.5-inch barrel with interchangeable choke system. With the corrosion-resistant internal parts/finishing such as nickel boron-coated gas piston, magazine tube, hammer and sear. It can fire up to 1,500 rounds before it needs to be cleaned.

The 18.5-inch barrel is given a matte finish and is equipped with a fiber optic front sight. The extended magazine tube has a 7+1 round capacity with 2.75-inch shells.

For 3-Gun shooters, the 940 Pro Tactical is a god-send as it comes with features they need in a shotgun ready for 3-Gun. They will just need to tweak it a bit to meet their own personal requirements and taste.
