2-Tone AEGs Available at Action Hobbys

OptimusPrime

You are  not registered at any skirmish site and below 18 years old? Too bad you can't purchase any airsoft weapon from UK retailers since the VCRA came into effect last 1 October 2007. But by a stroke of imagination, some UK retailers have banded together to help you out acquire your AEG without worrying about these, by coming out with 2-Tone product lines. Action Hobbys has released the first products under this.

"Despite the restrictions introduced in the VCRA 2006, it is still legal to sell an airsoft gun to anyone over the age of 18 years providing its principle colour is sufficiently different from that of a real firearm. These '2-Tone' Airsoft guns comply with the VCR Act 2007, you do not need to be registered to buy them BUT YOU MUST be over 18 years of age.

To meet the conditions laid down in the Act, Actionhobbys. has joined forces with Airsoft World LTD and commissioned our own range of Two-Tone AEGs direct from the manufacturer.

The quality of the 2-Tone range is AT LEAST as good as the original specification airsoft guns we have been supplying.

We managed to iron out some of the little problems that were experienced with the realistic coloured versions: AGM M14 battery wiring has now been corrected, the D-Boys motors and motor wiring faults have been addressed, we contracted most of the 2-Tones to be injection moulded instead of painted so the quality would be exactly the same.

ALL of the 2-Tones have been built to fire at under 350 FPS.

Please note: Under Section 36 of the V.C.R. Act it is a criminal offence to alter the appearance of an imitation firearm to make it into a realistic imitation firearm. Our interpretation of this Act is that even painting one of these guns would contravene the Act."
