Yellow Label Airsoft Man investigates the maximum effective range of an airsoft sniper rifle operating at a low 0.8 Joules. He first upgraded the rifle with a Tokyo Marui-style "air brake" component to ensure an exceptionally quiet shot, an important feature for a sniper setup.

The build involved installing a 430mm inner barrel and selecting a 50-degree hop-up bucking, which was found to work better than a 60-degree bucking for this low-power system. The tests used 0.32g BBs and a Stech electronic target for accurate feedback on shot placement.

The range tests demonstrated that the low-velocity rifle could consistently hit targets at 30, 40, and 50 meters, with some shots successfully reaching 60 meters. The host concluded that excellent long-range performance is possible with a low-power system, provided the right hop-up bucking and heavy BBs are used.
