Rebuilding CYMA CGS Lancer Mags

Buying gear secondhand is always an adventure, and in this case for Stupid Airsoft, the prize was a set of Lancer airsoft magazines that arrived in a state of mid-life crisis. The previous owner neglected to mention the 3D-printed feed lips or the missing internal springs, leaving the new owner with a collection of plastic boxes that didn't actually feed anything. Fortunately, a partial refund and a few affordable rebuild kits provided a path to redemption for these weary accessories.
The restoration process is a delicate dance of pins, tiny screws, and springs that seem to have a personal vendetta against staying in place. After gutting the old, broken components, the video demonstrates how to install fresh followers, gas routers, and the stop-on-empty mechanisms. It involves a fair amount of finger coordination and a healthy dose of patience, especially when dealing with the gas reservoir rods that enjoy falling into the most inconvenient spots possible.
Once the internal puzzle is solved and the O-rings are safely crushed back into their seals, the magazines finally return to their former glory. A quick gas test and some test shots confirm that they no longer leak and, more importantly, actually lock the bolt back when empty. It is a solid reminder that with a little bit of time and the right spare parts, even the most abused bargain finds can be convinced to do their jobs again.
