Mr. Duffo Snow Test For Airsoft Rifles

Mr. Duffo tests the cold weather performance of several gas blowback airsoft rifles, including a Tokyo Marui Saiga 12, an AK, a GHK Steyr AUG, a Gun Modify Scar L, and a Tokyo Marui MWS. After being left outside in near-freezing temperatures for over an hour, the rifles were tested with cold magazines, revealing significant operational issues across most models due to the cold, moist conditions.

The Tokyo Marui AK, specifically the one fitted with a stronger recoil spring, proved to be the top performer, cycling surprisingly well with both cold and warm magazines. The other tested rifles struggled with slow cycling, failure to fire, and nozzle issues. For successful winter airsoft play, Mr. Duffo recommends keeping magazines warm by storing them in warm pockets, using electric hand warmers, or tucking them under a plate carrier immediately before use.
