With every Apple device can meet the minimum hardware requirements of the new iOS7 being updated, application developers are also rushing to update the designs of their apps to be compatible with or take advantage of the flat design. AppDaddy, the developer of the Tactical Nav for the iPhone and just recently, the iPad, just released their update, Version 3.02 last 11 December. Press Release below the image:

Popular Navigation App ‘Tactical NAV’ Updated With iOS 7 Redesign

Tactical NAV, the navigation app built for military and law enforcement personnel has been updated with an iOS 7 inspired redesign, bringing one of the more popular apps in the App Store in line with Apple's new "flat" design sense. In addition, the app has also been updated with military graphics and symbols, an improved event management interface and various stability improvements.

The app assists military service members and first responders with mapping, plotting and sharing waypoints, along with building overlays and synchronizing assets with other users on the battlefield.

"We’ve listened to user feedback and have worked extremely hard to bring this app to users worldwide. I think they’ll be pleased with the accuracy and updated user interface of the new app," said Tactical NAV creator, Jonathan J. Springer.

Springer, who is currently stationed at Fort Bragg, originally created the app during a combat deployment with the 101st Airborne Division in Afghanistan. It became popular after a freelance journalist documented the app being used to call for artillery fire during an enemy attack in Kunar Province.

"What we've done with this app is try to offer something that has never been available on a mobile device. Bottom line, we're doing our best to give troopers the tools needed to succeed in the field ... and circumvent the bureaucratic process that often comes with creating military software targeted towards the warfighter," said Springer.

According to the app's lead engineer Alan Corbett, thousands of hours were invested into the app to ensure its success.

"I'm just proud we're delivering something that's both effective and accurate to our military and law enforcement folks out there," said Corbett, CEO of AlbeBaubles, LLC.
