If you have preordered of the “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2” online you get first dibs at the single player campaign mode a week early before the rest get to play the game. Activision will open the gates to digital preorders on October 20, 2022. You get to play with Task 141 of the reboot of the 2009 sequel to the biggest title in the Call of Duty Franchise.

The reboot brings improvements the game such as water physics, swimming mechanics, overhauled vehicle system, and a more advanced AI for both campaign and multiplayer modes. The characters from the 2009 game will be back such as Captain Price, Soap, Gaz and Ghost. There are new characters introduced for the 2022 reboot with Colonel Alejandro Vargas and Commander Phillip Graves, a CEO of PMC company.

“Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2” actually has three scheduled releases apart from the beta release in September with the Campaign on October 20, Multiplayer on October 28, and the WarZone sequel which has no release date revealed yet. If you have not preordered, there are two options with their own perks:

Preorder Modern Warfare II to receive:

• Up to one week early access to the full Modern Warfare II Campaign1.
• Access to the full game on October 28.
• Open Beta Early Access2.
• Final Judgement Bundle3: Immediate access to the Legendary “Deathknell” Operator Skin and the Legendary “Bloodthirsty” Weapon Blueprint for use in Vanguard and Warzone.

Preorder the Vault Edition of Modern Warfare II to receive:

• All previously listed rewards.
• Red Team 141: Four playable Multiplayer Operators — Ghost, Farah, Price, and Soap — each wearing a special masked outfit, which will be available during the Open Beta.
• FJX Cinder Weapon Vault4: At Call of Duty: Next, we plan to share more details on this and the new Gunsmith, which will also be available during the Open Beta.

For owners of Playstations, preordering also gives them access to two different beta weekends in September which also includes some skins to be used in last year's Call of Duty: Vanguard and Battle Royale game Call of Duty: Warzone.

Also announced is that on September 15, 2022 players can expect a massive intel drop regarding the immediate future of Call of Duty during the Call of Duty: Next franchise showcase event.
