Better get that KSC M93R Auto 9-C “Robocop” Gas Blowback Pistol well-maintained as you may need it for your RoboCop impression when a first person shooter “RoboCop: Rogue City” gets released in 2023. This was announced by Nacon out of the blue during their July 6 Nano Connect event and it is being developed by “Terminator: Resistance” developer Teyon.

RoboCop is a sci-fi action movie that was released in 1987, directed by Paul Verhoeven and written by Edward Neumeier and Michael Miner. It garnered several awards, including an Academy Award. This was followed by two more sequels, RoboCop 2 and RoboCop 3, forming a trilogy. There was a reboot of the movie in 2014 starring Joel Kinnaman, Gary Oldman, Michael Keaton, and Samuel L. Jackson. A RoboCop Returns is said to be in the works.

Working with MGM which owns the film rights, the announcement mentions that the game follows the original trilogy, seeing Alex Murphy, the police officer turned Robocop, and set in the City of Detroit. Here is what Teyon posted at the official page of the "RoboCop: Rogue City" on their website:

Become the iconic part man, part machine, all cop hero as you attempt to bring justice to the dangerous, crime-ridden streets of Old Detroit. Armed with your trusty Auto-9, factory-built strength, years of experience on the force and a variety of tools at your disposal, you will fight forces seeking to destroy the city you call home in an all new first-person, explosive hunt for the truth. You have the power to decide how to fulfil prime directives in your own way, but as the story unfolds proceed with caution because corruption and greed know no limits.

Teyon has experience in bringing 1980s movies to games, albeit not hits, including “Rambo: The Vieo Game” that was released in 2014. With the announcement of the RoboCop game received positively by fans, and that means expectations are a bit higher, making their work cut out for them and deliver an even better game as compared to their Terminator and Rambo games.

“RoboCop: Rogue City” will be available for Windows PC and console games.
