One of the biggest Action Air/Airsoft Practical Shooting events in the world, the Airsoft Surgeon European Championships, is just around the corner after a one year hiatus. It will also be hosted for the first time at the First Person Shooter (FPS) Shooting Range in Newport, the Isle of Wight in the United Kingdom. The main sponsor for this year’s match is Shield Sights with Guga Ribas (GR), Gunfire, Nuprol, Specna Arms, and VFC being product sponsors. The United Kingdom Practical Shooting Association (UKPSA) is taking care of the targets for the event.

Now on its 6th year, the event is set for the 3rd and 4th of August 2019 with a Pre-Match for the Range Officers on the 1st to the 2nd of August, there will be a total of 138 shooters from various countries as far as Brazil and Russia. FPS, Airsoft Action, and RedWolf Airsoft have been working hard to set up this event, being one of the most important matches for airsoft practical shooters.

There will be a total of 16 stages, with 8 short stages, 6 short stages, and 2 long stages with a Shoot Off Competition as well. Shooters will be competing for the following Divisions and Categories:

DIVISIONS

• Open (Max 28 rounds BB in each magazine)
• Standard (Max 18 rounds BB in each magazine)
• Classic (Max 10 rounds BB in each magazine – single stack only)
• Production (Max 15 rounds BB in each magazine) – Pistols currently approved on Production Division List)
• Production Optic (Max 15 rounds BB in each magazine)

CATEGORIES

• Lady
• Super Junior (Competitors who are under the age of 16 on the first day of the match)
• Junior (Competitors who are under the age of 21 on the first day of the match)
• Male
• Senior (Competitors who are over the age of 50 on the first day of the match)
• Super Senior (Competitors who are over the age of 60 on the first day of the match)

As always, we expect this year’s match to be extremely competitive under the watchful supervision of the Airsoft Surgeon, the hosts, and the ROs. Trophies await the winners and runners-up and there will be amazing prizes that will be raffled off.
