Yesterday was the conclusion of SHOT Show 2020, four fun days of finding the latest and upcoming firearms, airsoft, and outdoor gear in one of big trade events that we see the airsoft industry participating in. The videos you see here are just some that have been posted by the airsoft media and celebrities on YouTube and there will be more video reports on the video sharing platform post SHOT Show.
PTS Syndicate have something new that airsoft players are excited about and it’s now an airsoft furniture kit or a complete airsoft gun, but rather it’s a helmet. Many are looking forward to the release of the licensed MTEK Flush Helmet replica for airsoft use. It can be ordered right now at their online store for US$120.00. Airsoft.nu and Evike.com visited their booth to take a look at this product and other offerings from PTS Syndicate.
At the PTS Syndicate booth is the GBLS DAS GDR-15, the most realistic operating M4 AEG in the market, rivaling the M4 GBB Rile. There are upgrade parts available for it such as the recoil buffer. Airsoft.nu shows us what these are in the video below.
Airsoft Innovations are coming up with a sound grenade that delivers a loud bang. Called the Bang 22 and according to Airsoft.nu, it is powered by a .22 nail gun cartridge and gives a loud "bang" sound upon detonation. The sound level will be different depending the cartridge the player uses with the sould level at 123-130 dB at 10ft, the same levels when you listen to a jack hammer or a live rock band with 130dB being the threshold of pain from loud sound.
Other videos from Airsoft.nu are Specna Arms and KWA which were covered by other airsoft channels in the previous days but there might be some information that were missed by them.
Gunfire TV got two more videos up, Evike.com checks out the ASG booth which also has ICS products on display, and DesertFox Airsoft gives us another look on the G&G Remote Control System as well as the Howa Type 64 Battle Rifle.
Is there any of these product announcements and new releases excite you enough ti make you part with your (or your parents') hard-earned money? Frankly. we want more, but we can settle for these.
The SHOT Show 2020, whilst there is already a big presence for airsoft, is really about real steel products. The good thing for airsoft's big presence at this show is for the industry to take note of what are to be replicated for airsoft market and strike deals with the real manufacturers for licensing their products. It is also for the airsoft industry to showcase their products that can be used for training and have potential licensors to trust them that they are faitfhful in replicating licensed designs.
But, there is another international trade show coming up in just over a month and it even has an even bigger airsoft presence. The IWA Outdoor Classics 2020 in Nuremberg, Germany will be taking place on the 6th to 9th of March and airsoft has its own hall now, taking the whole space at Hall 8 and more airsoft exhibitors will be there. We'll be there to cover the event and give you a day-to-day account.
