If Action Air shooters would want a SIG pistol to use in practical pistol shooting, all they need to do is wait for an airsoft version of the newly announced SIG P320 Max Competition Pistol. Developed in cooperation with Team SIG’s Max Michel, the P320 Max is a 9mm striker-fired pistol that is optimised for competition especially in the Carry Optics Division of the USPSA or the Production Optics Division of the IPSC.

Making it competition ready, SIG Custom Works worked with Max Michel who shoots for Team SIG and is the 2014 IPSC Open World Champion has mounted a  a ROMEO3MAX optic with a 6 MOA dot which should make shooters happy as it makes it fast on target. The pistol has a TXG tungsten-infused heavy XFULL grip module and flat skeletonised trigger. As standard part of the package, it comes with four 21-round magazines.

The Custom Works Slide comes with Max Michel markings and custom serrations. It has a 5-inch bull barrel and the one piece guide rod is compatible with 1911 recoil springs. It is now available and shipping to authorized sellers. Price is $1599.99.

With SIG Sauer having its own airsoft division, the SIG Air ProForce, we might expect that they may produce a version for the Action Air use given that they have produced P320 gas blowbacks in the form of the M17 and M18 GBB Pistols with VFC as OEM. It’s just a question of when they plan on producing one for airsoft.

SIG Custom Works Collaborates with Team SIG’s Max Michel to Develop the P320MAX

The SIG SAUER P320MAX is a 9mm striker-fired pistol, built around the TXG tungsten infused heavy XFULL grip module with a flat skeletonized trigger.  The SIG Custom Works P320MAX features a completely redesigned slide with custom wrap-around serrations for ideal side and top manipulation and is fit with a 5” match grade bull barrel, one-piece stainless steel guide rod, and both a 14lb. and 12lb. 1911-style recoil spring, allowing for an easily customized shooting experience.  The pistol comes standard with a SIG SAUER Electro-Optics 6MOA ROMEO3MAX, and (4) 21-round steel magazines.
