The MCX Rattler LT is a new addition to the MCX Rattler family, which is a modular and versatile weapon system designed for Special Operations forces. It comes in two calibers: 300BLK and 7.62x39mm. It has a black anodized aluminum frame, a flat-blade trigger, and an adjustable gas piston. It also has a full-length flat-top rail and a MIL-STD 1913 attachment point for different stock options.
The barrel length varies depending on the caliber: the 300BLK model has a 6.75" barrel, while the 7.62 model has a 7.75" barrel. Both barrels are cold hammer-forged and carbon steel and can be swapped with other LT barrels and handguards from SIG Sauer. The weapon is available in three configurations: a pistol, a short-barreled rifle (SBR), and a rifle. All configurations are subject to NFA rules and regulations.
The pistol configuration has a 13" barrel and a Picatinny rail section at the rear of the receiver for attaching accessories. The SBR configuration has a 13" barrel and a folding rear stock unit that uses a telescoping Magpul SL-M buttstock. The rifle configuration has a 16" barrel and the same folding rear stock unit. The overall height of the weapon is 7.4", and the overall length is 17.5" for the 7.62 model and 16.5" for the 300BLK model.

SIG plans to release more MCX models in the future, chambered in 6.5 mm Creedmoor and .277 Fury. The MCX’s barrel attachment system allows for easy caliber conversions. The MCX Rattler LT is a light and discreet weapon that delivers high performance and reliability.
