SK Guns, a high-end custom gunmaker, has recently unveiled a new product that pays homage to a significant figure in Mexican history - Pascual Orozco. This new offering is not just a firearm, but a beautifully engraved 1911 that serves as a tribute to Orozco and a history lesson about the Mexican Revolution.
The product is a result of a collaboration between SK Guns and Colt, and it is part of a limited run of collector-grade pistols. These pistols are not just weapons, but pieces of art that carry the spirit of the Mexican Revolution and the legacy of Pascual Orozco.
This new product is the third in the "La Revolución" series by SK Guns. The series aims to commemorate the heroes of the Mexican Revolution, and the Pascual Orozco-inspired firearm is a fitting addition. Orozco was a natural military leader who played a crucial role in the revolution against the Porfirio Díaz dictatorship.
The firearm is a Colt 1911 Full-Size Government Model chambered in 38 Super. It features a high polished royal blue finish with selective silver plating, and each pistol will include a special engraved edition number. The firearm is adorned with a depiction of the "Monument to the Revolution" and a cannas lily, native to Mexico.
A silver-plated illustration of Orozco on horseback commemorates his victory at the battle of "Cańon de Mal Paso Enero 1911". The firearm also carries Orozco's notorious saying – “Ahí te van las hojas, mándame más tamales.” or “Here are the wrappers, send me more tamales.” – engraved on the frame.
The firearm also features the Orozco Family Coat of Arms and a depiction of revolutionary fighters in Orozco’s camp. A ribbon reading “Ciudaded Juárez, Chihuahua” is silver plated on the firearm. A portrait of Orozco sits atop the slide, and a bandolier is near the gun’s chamber, just below the iconic Mexican Eagle respective for its era.
The firearm wears a set of custom Kirinite grips embedded with a set of custom 24k Gold Peso Medallions. This limited-edition production run is only 300, and each firearm is available for $3,000. This will become available in April 2024.
With this new product, SK Guns continues to blend history, art, and firearms in a unique way. The Pascual Orozco-inspired firearm is not just a weapon, but a tribute to a hero of the Mexican Revolution and a piece of history that firearm enthusiasts and history buffs alike would appreciate.
