The cylinder itself is constructed from SUS304 stainless steel with an internal diameter of 20mm, manufactured in Japan using a cold hammering process — the same technique applied to PDI's 01 and 05 series inner barrels. This method brings the inner diameter tolerance down to ±1/100mm, a level of precision more commonly associated with inner barrels than cylinders. The body and end boss are joined via laser welding and secured with parallel pins, using a seamless pipe design throughout.

The Palsonite surface treatment applied to the cylinder is central to its performance claims. By reducing friction between the piston and cylinder walls, the treatment is intended to produce a smoother cycling action.
