The UKAPU send in a last minute update on the EU Firearms Directive vote with some positive news for the European airsoft community as amendments have been introduced removing airsoft from being classified as firearms. They suggest airsoft players contact their MEPs to give encouragement to vote in favour of the amendments. Full statement below:

News that the European Airsoft Association has been launched. Details are not yet final on what the mission, vision and goals of this association are, but surely it is a step in the right direction. We can just imagine a group lobbying at the EU for airsoft friendly laws, and coordinating events on a pan-european scale.
