A version of the Low Drag Mount for the Trijicon RMR has been released by Scalarworks... "Scalarworks, manufacturer of high-performance firearms accessories, is pleased to introduce the Low Drag Mount™ for Trijicon RMR sights; the lightest quick-detach Trijicon RMR mount in existence – weighing only 1.27oz, including sight screws.
A new optic is launched by Trijicon specifically aimed for use of machine guns, the Machine Gunners Reflex Sight (MGRS). It has two interchangeable knobs for the M2 and the M240 machine guns so the gunner can dial in target distances and it is claimed that it increases the probability of first round hits.
Looks like it is something for airsoft players to wait for a replica version. Press release below:
The Scalarworks Low Drag Mount for the Trijicon MRO is something you need for quick detach and reinstallation of the Microsight... "The Low Drag Mount’s precision guided telescoping clamp holds zero on every re-installation, and under the heaviest recoil. Guaranteed. Engineered to be the lightest Quick-Detach mount possible, without compromising an ounce of strength. The LDM/MRO has been reinforced inside and out, making it the toughest Low Drag Mount yet."
Warpaper purchased a brand new RMR replica red dot sight which comes with markings which they installed on a Tokyo Marui Glock that is kitted with the RMR kit. Looks like it's poorly made as the lens fell off after 10 shots. They get another RMR repluca made in Taiwan and the lens still are still on the sight even after 80 shots. The cons they find is that it doesn't have markings and red dot offset caused by the blowback action.
Perhaps Tokyo Marui would want to look into the Origin 12 once they release their airsoft version of the AA-12 Shotgun. In this video by Oleg Volk Photography, the shooter shoots 30 shots in 8 seconds with an Origin 12 Shotgun that has an AR15-like ergonomics and lower recoil. Also seen in the video are the Trijicon RX30 sight and the Silencerco Salvo Suppressor.
Hat tip to the Ravishing Rick Dude for the link.
