The United Kingdom Airsoft Players Union (UKAPU) are slowly filling up various positions for regional representatives to allow for better communication and represenation of their members. The positions for Scotland and North England are now filled up with still more positions awaiting appointments. Press release below:

The United Kingdom Airsoft Players' Union (UKAPU) are having a relaunch of their website and also announce a new membership system to entice more UK-based airsoft players to join the organisation. The organisation is very much active in the protection and promotion of airsoft player' ability to play in the UK. Read the press release below to learn more:

UKAPU Website Re-Launch & Membership System

UKAPU's Matt-Furey King gives an update on the progress of the proposed Police and Crime Bill which there was an amendment that was introduced removing the exception for airsoft. The amendment was not included but the community should be vigilant as the everything is not final until the the bill becomes law.

Here is an update from Matt Furey-King, Chairman of the United Kingdom Airsoft Players' Union (UKAPU) on their meeting with the Home Office on the Police and Crime Bill and other matters... "Tomorrow morning we will be meeting with the Home Office to discuss the Police and Crime Bill.

Matt Furey-King of UKAPU, inform us of the passing away of Ian Hay, a long time faithful airsofter even if he was confronted with deteriorating health over the years... "I've got sad news to pass on to you all today. This weekend Ian Hay AKA Aitch passed away. Ian was a proper old school core airsoft community member, he’s one of very few people who has stuck with the hobby since the early days and kept on working hard for all of us.

With the UKAPU Chairman, Phil Bucknall stepping down as Chairman due to more load at his day job, he and the rest of the UKAPU leadership are calling for UKAPU members to step up and takeover whatever responsibilities and tasks the organisation needs to keep it going. UKAPU Statement Regarding Committee Positions

In light of the recent blogpost at Yosser's Airsoft Odyssey that has caused concern and confusion in the UK airsoft community, we also asked the United Kingdom Airsoft Players' Union (UKAPU) if they are aware of the story and if they want to put out a statement.
