Yosser's "boots on the ground" at the SHOT Show 2014 is the team of Maree and Keith from Mad Badger Airsoft and they report about their visit to the Kryptek booth... "One of the highlights of Shot Show 2014 has been our two visits to the Kryptek booth! Over the past few days we have walked past, done some window shopping and tried to catch the eye of the booth manager to discuss a few suspicious new items that have appeared between last year and this year's show!
Yosser writes about his latest slide kit he got from Hong Kong. The Salient Arms International slide replica kits are getting more popular in the airsoft market and this one is from ACE 1 Arms. Made to fit the WE Airsoft S&W M&P Gas Blowback pistol, Yosser finds it as one of the best SAI Slide Kits he has fitted into his pistols.
After the SHOT Show 2014, the next shooting event expo will be in the UK, with the British Shooting Show 2014 happening on the 14th to the 16th of February 2014 at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire. One significant side event of this show is the British Airsoft Show which is now fully supported by Airsoft International Magazine.

This smock looks good going over the photos that Yosser sent over as he sends word about this latest review.... "It should be pointed out that the jacket isn’t waterproof and should be treated with a light waterproofing solution where possible. When wet, the jacket does get heavier but then it’s no light weight dry either.
A review of a tactical t-shirt brand for those who prefer wearing t-shirts in their games but need a place to have patches placed too... "So have you heard of a TactiTEE? This is a great brand from across the pond in the USA and it’s a great idea marketed at airsofters and paintballers alike, in fact anyone wanting to sport their patches loud and proud."

Another Blank Firing Grenade (BFGs) that airsofters who prefer to go really loud in airsoft games to consider, the OSHIBOOM (remember the song?) is reviewed by Airsoft Odyssey... "After a period of short supply, spiraling second hand prices and then zero availability to satisfy the insatiable appetites of airsofters for BFGs, suddenly we are spoilt for choice in the market place. Inevitably comparisons will be made between this and the many other devices now available.
In light of the recent blogpost at Yosser's Airsoft Odyssey that has caused concern and confusion in the UK airsoft community, we also asked the United Kingdom Airsoft Players' Union (UKAPU) if they are aware of the story and if they want to put out a statement. They first reached out to Frank of UKARA regarding the issue to learn more about it and this is their statement with regards to the story:
Just an update on the story written by Yosser's Airsoft Odyssey regards to new proposals that were allegely submitted to the ACPO (Association of Chief Police Officers)/Home Office by Frank Bothamley, the Chairperson of UKARA and part owner of Firesupport, we got in touch with Frank himself for his reaction to the story.
We were about to call it a night when the inbox chimed with a news feed from Yosser which should be a concern for airsofters in the United Kingdom. According to him, a proposal has been sent to the Home Office that will restrict further airsoft sales, limiting sales through Registered Firearms Dealers which will also have an implication of restricting personal importation by airsoft players from outside of the UK...
Another guest review at Airsoft Odyssey where the Platinum Series of BBs from Gunfire get tried under expert eyes... "the packaging of the BB’s, quality, shape and toughness (we used pliers to attempt to crush them) were all up to the standard you would expect from a BB that has 'Quality, Platinum Series, Double Polished' on the packaging. The tests carried out illustrated that they performed well alongside other quality BB’s that are in the same price range.
