The upper receiver is built from a single piece of stamped and welded steel, matching the construction method of the original firearm. This early-model variant features a classic military-spec pistol grip, a retractable steel stock assembly, and a stamped steel fire selector lever marked with the traditional Bundeswehr "S-E-F" (Safe, Semi, Auto) icons.
