For those who cringe at Nerf Guns being converted into airsoft guns, better look the other way, and for those who like to see how airsoft gunsmiths can work their magic can read on. Another Nerf Gun, this time a Vulcan, gets the PolarStar treatment as the Fusion Engine is dropped into it... "The conversion of the Vulcan was similar to the Nerf Stampede, but the box mag was located outside of the gun in the stock Nerf box mag, providing the capacity for 4000 rounds. The same technique was used --- gut the Nerf gun and mount the PolarStar Fusion Engine.
The Magpul PTS PDR-C AEG just arrived at airsoft retailers in the US, and Bingo Airsoftworks didn't waste time getting their hands on one and converting it to use the PolarStar Airsoft Fusion Engine... "The gun is designed to hold the battery in the pistol grip and the gearbox uses a quick change mechanism for the piston spring to adjust the FPS. The gun’s gearbox is very proprietary. Due to the compact shape of the gun, the gearbox has the BB feed tube integrated into the gearbox shell, and it uses an downward offset nozzle.
Talk about another successful conversion though it was a complex one. Now we see a Thompson airsoft gun now running on the PolarStar Fusion Engine... "The Thompson submachine gun is an iconic firearm that was popular during the early 1920s through WWII. Unfortunately it’s not a gun that is typically found on an airsoft field, except for maybe WWII focused games and reenactments.
Another mission accomplished by Bingo Airsoftworks as they successfully mated a PolarStar Fusion Engine to the new Echo1 1918 SLR BAR... "The Echo1 M1918 matched with the PolarStar Fusion Engine makes for a very fun gun to fire. It may not be the most practical gun as a primary assault weapon, but it’s a blast to shoot, and a perfect match for anyone wanting to add a new dimension to their WWII load out."

The latest custom conversion to the PolarStar Fusion Engine by Bingo Airsoftworks proves that there are lots of possibilities for this HPA-FCU gearbox technology... "The Dragunov SVD is nearly perfect gun for the Fusion Engine, but there are several variations of the SVD available. There are bolt action spring rifles, and AEG implementations.
With the PolarStar Fusion Engine still available for airsoft guns with version 2 gearbox receivers, some are doing their own custom work to fit the engine into other airsoft guns. Bingo Airsoftworks just did a conversion on a P90. So this will be interesting reading as the P90 gearbox is another animal to tame with such a new technology.
Another conversion work by Bingo Airsoftworks, with the AGM MP44 AEG being the base gun with which they installed the PolarStar Fusion Engine, making the rifle ready to take in HPA tanks and a good performing airsoft gun which will be a welcome thing for those who prefer using HPA as power source when playing airsoft.
