The bigges independent player in the action camera market, GoPro, has filed to offer shares to the public, hoping to raise US$100 Million in its Initial Public Offering (IPO). With the money raised, the company hopes to pay of its loans and invest or acquire other busineses. No details yet as to when the IPO will take place and if the initial target amount would be adjusted to reflect business requirements and status.

A new airsoft YouTube Channel called the Soldiers of Misfortune, which is maintained by our good friend Matt-Furey King formerly of UKAPU and at present the president of the European Airsoft Association (EAA), just put online its very first video. This is rugged little camera and will come with new mounting options. It also has Wifi Capabilities so you can control it with apps developed for the iOS and Android mobile devices. Sony's the biggest name in electronics to get into the helmet cam market with an integrated version, whereas their previous versions were tethered bullet cams connected to a separate recorder. According to the Sony Blog, this will be a lightweight camera with the SteadyShot stabilisation feature which would be really good in capturing the action, the Exmor R CMOS image sensor, and ultra-wide angle Carl Zeiss Tessar Lens.
