In the Kalashnikov Evolution Series by the Kalashnikov Media, they present the latest in the continuing redesign of the iconic rifles, the new AK-12 and AK-15 rifles... "The AK-12 caliber 5.45 mm and AK-15 caliber 7.62 mm were adopted by the Russian Defense Ministry in early 2018. This gun will gradually replace the AK-74. The weapon was developed within the framework of the 'Ratnik' program as an element of a promising set of equipment for the fighters of the Armed Forces of Russia."
