Video from the Frecnh Army (Armee de Terre) in the their Clash of the Titans II showing the LEBEL rifle used in World War I and the HK416F that is now being issued to French soldiers... "After the Leclerc tanks versus Saint-Chamond, the clash of the Titans II offers a new confrontation this time between the LEBEL rifle, the early weapon and the HK 416F which equips today the French fighter."
This is not yet confirmed, but the French Army in 2009 have been reported to searching for a replacement of the FAMAS rifle. Now, according to the Firearms Blog, they might adopt the Heckler & Kock HK416 according a trusted source. If this is true, then French will be the next to adopt it army-wide after the Norwegians. Whilst the HK416 is in use by other countries, it is limited to certain units such as their special operations forces.
