With the growing popularity of the KeyMod rail system both in real steel and airsoft guns, Bravo Company USA made a product just for it called the BCM Gunfighter Vertical Grip Keymod... "The BCMGunfighter™ KeyMod™ Vertical Grip pairs the refined ergonomics of the BCMGunfighter Vertical Grip with a quick detach vertical grip that direct mounts to a KeyMod hand guard without the need for any Picatinny rail interface.

If you're thinking that the KeyMod Rail system is made specifically for the AR platform, you might want to rethink that since various manufacturers are now adopting it for various platforms. Midwest Industries actaully released their MI Tavor KeyMod Handguard for the TAR-21 though we don't know if you need to do some modification if you want to fit it to your TAR-21 AEG.

Weekend video release from the SCDTV covers products from Dytac such as a rail accessories and a replica T1 Micro Sight with a QD high mount. The main review is the Dytac URX 4 which its front rail system replicates the Knight's Armament URX 4 rail system which in turn incorporates VLTOR Keymod System. They Keymod system allows for a slimmer profile whilst maintaining a stable platform.

Now we're seeing Keymod rail systems for AEGs now getting into the market. This URX4 13-inch AEG Rail from Iron Airsoft is now available at EB Airsoft. The Keymod system allows you a reliable and sleeker rail systems and many firearms makers such as Noveske are releasing their new products with this system. Made of aluminium and hard anodized, it is priced at US$76.80, shipping already included.

Just announced yesterday by Haley Strategic Partners is their Thorntail Light Mount for the Keymod Platform. The KeyMod Handguard platform is now getting to be adopted by some of the bleeding edge firearms makers and this redesign of the Thorntail means that HSP has adopted the KeyMod system too. They actually designed five variants: Offset, MIL620, Offset Ring .830", Offset Ringt 1", and Offset Ring 1.03" with four of these shown below.

With this release, now we wait for the airsoft versions to be released by MadBull Airsoft... This one's designed for the Noveske NSR handguards, with the light when mounted closer to the handguard. For interested users, price is US$49.95.

The Keymod system that was developed and openly shared by VLTOR Systems now gets an AK rail made by Strike Industries. This sets a standard in attaching accessories on rifle front-ends and can be easily reconfigured. Since the Keymod system is open, any manufacturer can develop their own products with it. We think that this is perhaps the first Keymod for the AK platform.
