Today is first day of the 59th All Japan Hobby Show, with the doors opened now for trade visitors and for the weekend, they will be open wider for the visiting public. For airsoft players, the interest is what Tokyo Marui will be putting on display at the show and by the looks of it, they are pulling all stops for their first support weapon offering, the Tokyo Marui Mk46 Mod.0.  On the eve of the hobby show, they invited shareholders, partners, and the Japanese media to their reception night held at the Dai-ichi Hotel Tokyo Seafort located in Shinagawa City with a reception room that gives a beautiful view of the Tokyo Bay.

We have received updated information on the MK46 Mod.0 which should very interest our readers eager to get their hands on it. The good news is that this new generation AEG will be released in November and for those who have been saving up for this, we have reported last year that the pricing will be on the high side. Indeed it is on the high side, as the price is JPY148,000 or around US$1,365.00, excluding tax.

Tokyo Marui Chairman Mr. Iwasawa Iwao welcomed the guests to the reception, thanking them for coming to see more of their main product offering of the year. From there Mr. Masaru Shimamura, popularly known as Deca took over to explain the finer details of MK46 Mod.0.

Features:

• Inner barrel is included with the barrel assembly which is taken off while replacing battery. Chamber which has Hop-Up system is on main body, it is avoidable misfeed and damage of sensitive surrounding of the chamber.
• LED indicator is installed in the ejection port. It is possible to check the status of the operation of FET and battery. (Normally, LED is off).
• Operating the lever of inside of the ejection port, left BB bullets in Mk46 can be taken off.
• Box magazine cover is made of Cordura 500 as the original.
• Opening the base of the stock, latch release rod of mechabox and adjustment of front sight is stored.
• J-TECH make carrying case is equipped. Two types of original patches are also attached.

Following information is released in the past.

• This recoil shock is two times stronger than the others. Although Mk46 Mod.0 is heavy, enjoy heavy recoil shock.   
• To move heavier weight mechanism than the others, it was developed dedicated mechabox for Mk46 Mod.0. Motor, gear and piston are the dedicated design.
• LED indicator is installed like AA-12. Check the status of FET and battery whether abnormal occurs.  
• Reproduce the M46 features like Picatinny standard hand guard, heat shield, light weight bipod. Fixed stock doesn’t have Shoulder Rest.
• Foldable type bipod. It is detachable by the same way as real guns.
• Due to installed shot & recoil engine, it generates strong kick back by shot. In addition, Ammunition Belt which is ranged dummy cartridge is roughly moved as a motion of feeding.
• Pulling cocking handle and set BBs. When magazine is empty, auto stop is on.  Changing magazine and pulling the cocking handle to cancel the auto stop.
• Full automatic shooting mode only.
• Ni-MH AK-type battery. Take the barrel and set the battery as real guns.
• FET is adopted. Reduce the damage of switch. Control not to operate FET when taking off the barrel or opening the feed cover.
• Flash hider is detachable. Muzzle is 14mm counter clockwise, optional suppressor can be attached.
• Rear sight is adjustable relative position as a real gun. Front sight is adjustable top and bottom.
• Electric magazine is equipped. When switch is on, BBs are wound up by spiral spring. The magazine is planned to 1000 rounds.
