We Will Rise Again

Today is Easter Sunday. For Christians, it’s the day when Jesus Christ rose from the dead after dying on the cross for the sins of men. In the midst of a pandemic in which many of us have known someone who has gotten infected with the coronavirus, or have been left devastated when a loved one succumbed to it, we are looking for hope that we as well will rise from these.
We are hearing good news that some countries have flattened or are starting to flatten the curve, a milestone in which the number of cases have reached a point in which the healthcare systems have avoided collapsing due to the wave of cases or have been able to push back that these countries are able see lesser numbers of case and increasing numbers of patients recovering. But it is not yet the time to let the guard down. As airsofters, we know what this means --- until an “All Clear” has been declared, we will not let our airsoft weapons down as somewhere, there is still an enemy waiting to attack when we are not looking.
Thus, we will not let out guard down, not just yet, it may still take longer than we have been expecting, but we will persevere. As much as we want to go out and play airsoft at the nearest game field and buy something from our local airsoft retailer, we will have to wait longer by staying at home so we can get out of the way of the virus and out of the way of frontliners so they do their work of stopping the spread of the virus, nurse back those infected back to help, and bury those who were unfortunate to die from the disease. If you want to support your local retailer, it is best you do orders online or on the phone if they are open so they can get valuable business.
Perhaps we may sound like a broken record here at Popular Airsoft as we always remind readers that apart from staying at home if we are not frontliners, we can still help out in many ways by donating to give the frontliners get the proper PPEs, help neighbours who cannot go outside by getting groceries for them, and if we have excess food or essentials, give them to the nearest charity or foodbank so they can give them to those who lack them.
We must not let up as the virus won’t stop until it is denied of hosts for it to attach itself so it can continue infecting others. With battles now being won, we must not letup until the war is over.
We will rise again from this. Let’s all do our part.
