It was really hard to make a joke or a prank for just a few laughs last week as we’re more worried with the ongoing pandemic. Having an April Fool’s prank is also tradition at Popular Airsoft but for this year, OptimusPrime decided not to have one and instead put out a PSA not to make April Fool’s pranks using the coronavirus since it will be totally in bad taste, will cause alarm, and may just have the prankster get arrested.

In Airsoft, that seemed to be case also as there was not much pranks and jokes. Whereas every year, there will always be lots of April fool’s gimmicks.  For us, as long as it’s not about the coronavirus, the prank will always be welcome since we need some good laughs to make us forget the trouble we are confronting, even for just a very brief moment.

So, we tried looking for some, and really there was a few jokes from some of the names familiar to airsofters. Since there were a few, here are the top 5:

5. 10 Kinds Of CRINGY Airsofters

Not exactly what we call an April Fool’s joke, since there is not much to pick from, we decided to give this video from SniperJaco the No. 5 position.

4. The 100% Velcro Tactical Shirt From Helikon-Tex

What’s even better than having a Velcro Panel for you to attach your collection patches? A 100% Velcro T-Shirt so you can wear your patch collection wherever you go! Helikon-Tex came up with one last April1 but alas! You cannot find it at their website. If you have one, better be careful walking down the street, some guys are reportedly armed with Velcro target balls waiting in ambush.

3. Evike.com Smooth Operator's 1-Ply Multi-Use Toilet Paper

Evike.com jumped in to provide the most important item in the world these days --- Toilet Paper.  It is what we call a “High Capacity” toilet roll as there are a 1,000 sheets per roll and sold at 10,000 roll packs. Indeed, upon announcement last April 1, it was immediately out of stock, probably snapped up by the world’s richest people as it is the most expensive pack of rolls at US$40,120.00 per pack.

Mr. Flannel Shirt ditches the flannel shirt and dons the UNSC uniform as he puts the MA37 Assault Rifle through its paces and gives his thoughts on this rifle. Master Chief was probably fuming mad when he found out he is missing a rifle.

1. Hyperdouraku: The Vacuum AEG

In terms of April Fool’s in airsoft, nobody beats the Japanese airsoft blogsite, Hyperdouraku. Yas and his crew always think thoroughly their April Fool’s prank and each year, they never cease to surprise us. For this year, they feature the Vacuum AEG. If you think about this prank seriously, then why not? Somebody has to suck up all the BBs we leave after the game and what is more appropriate than to be able to vacuum these up with a Vacuum AEG?
